A dark two-story townhouse in the center of the Village of Barovia owned by Mad Mary. Marya boarded up this building from the inside in an attempt to keep her daughter Gertruda safe, and so it was sheltered from the horrors of the village for many years. She left very rarely, only to obtain food for her daughter and Dog Lancelot.
From the townhouse, the entire village could hear Mad Mary's wails after Gertruda escaped.
