Panther

Panthers were sleek jungle felines, typically around four feet in length and weighing around 120 pounds. Possessing long claws and sharp teeth, they were distantly related to Housecats, though were capable of slaying much larger Beasts. They were nighttime hunters, with dark fur providing excellent camouflage amidst the shadows and foliage of their habitats. Their muscular bodies were built for speed and stealth, with keen senses that allowed them to stalk prey silently and strike with deadly precision.

Panthers hunted alone or in small family groups, where females raised their young and males patrolled vast territories in search of prey. They communicated through deep growls, roars, and purrs, signaling dominance, mating readiness, or territorial warnings to rivals. They were expert climbers and had superb balance, allowing them to pounce on their prey after stalking them across many types of terrain.
