Dinosaurs, also known as "thunderers" or "thunderbeasts", were a group of ancient reptilian Beasts found on remote islands far from Head of the Greatwyrm. They had diverse adaptions and survival strategies, leading to a wide variety of sizes, skins, and dietary habits among their species. Some possessed feathers, fangs, or the ability to fly, though the these traits were not mutually exclusive. Among them, most shared certain physical characteristics: all were covered in a layer of pebble-like skin, bird-like feathers, and most also demonstrated a well-developed sense of smell.
Legends and lore often depicted dinosaurs as relics of the Pre-Unified Age, symbols of primal power and the untamed wilderness. Some Druids and Rangers revered these creatures, forming bonds and alliances with them through magic or mutual respect. Others viewed dinosaurs as dangerous predators to be avoided or formidable adversaries to overcome in the pursuit of lost treasures or forbidden knowledge.
