Bodaks were the remnants a humanoid that had been destroyed by the touch of pure evil. Undead creatures devoid of personality or souls, bodaks were cruel and relentless hunters; they did so either of their own volition or at the behest of a greater power that created them. To a certain extent, they resembled a sexless version of their living forms, but had deathly pale skin and a face twisted into a visage of horror. They were rarely seen on the Material Realm, often only being encountered by unfortunate souls in the Umbral Realms or Lower Realms.
Bodaks possessed powerful innate and evil magic. Their gaze could wither the soul and mind of any nearby creatures that looked into the bodak's hollow eyes, killing unsuspecting creatures. They could also extend this withering energy to their touch, and produce a magical aura from their body that annihilated living beings. Creatures of darkness, they moved at night and were completely invulnerable to disease, poison, and magics that could charm the mind.
Though immensely dangerous, bodaks did have weaknesses. They were frail for a monster of such innate magical power, and were hypersensitive to sunlight, burning if exposed to brilliant light.
