Succubus were fiends native to the Lower Realms, but could often be found on the Material Realm as well, being one of the easiest evil powers to summon. Though a lesser breed of fiend in terms of raw combat ability, succubus were immensely dangerous, especially to mortals. They existed to seduce and tempt sentient creatures, and in moments of vulnerability, slay them and take their life energy back to the Lower Planes via a deadly kiss. Innately lustful, they desired a corrupted soul like nothing else, feeling emptiness until one was claimed.
When uncovered in her true form, a succubus appeared as a stunningly beautiful woman of statuesque build and perfect figure. They possessed short horns and tails, as well as clawed fingers and bat-like wings mounted on their backs. They could, however, change shape to resemble a humanoid, most often taking the forms of Humans and Elves. They would magically charm mortals before seducing them, being able to communicate telepathically and getting them to do their bidding before corrupting their soul. To ensure their safety, the fiends would reveal their true form only in moments of danger or glory, and generally fled conflict if possible, fading into the Ethereal Border plane.
Many myths around succubbus existed, claiming them to be lawful devils who sought domination or chaotic demons that represented wild sex. Some believed succubus to be the female equivalent to the male Incubus. In truth, they worked for demons and devils as they pleased, and a succubus could transform into an incubus at their leisure, and vice versa.
