A spider was a tiny type of arthropod, found all over the Material Realm and Umbral Realms. Carnivorous Beasts, they typically fed on smaller insects, trapping them in webs of silk that they could generate through their own bodies. Spiders lived in a variety of environments, spinning webs in abandoned buildings, dark caves, and high tree branches. These webs, often nearly invisible, were marvels of natural engineering, designed to ensnare insects and small animals for the spider to consume.
