An elemental was a type of primal creature that roamed the raw, untamed landscapes of the Elemental Realms, but could be found in other places where Leylines crossed. Their appearance and abilities were a directly related to their respective domains, and the actions of those that lacked true intelligence were reflective of the energy that animated them.
Elementals typically inhabited areas rich in their respective elements, such as volcanoes, deserts, oceans, and the open sky. They were often introduced to the Material Realm when summoned by powerful spellcasters to use as combatants or guards.
