Lizard

Lizards were diverse and adaptable Beasts that inhabited a wide range of environments, from scorching deserts to humid jungles and subterranean caverns. These creatures varied widely in size, appearance, and behavior, each species uniquely adapted to its specific habitat and hunting strategies. They were characterized by their scaly skin, which provided protection against predators and helped regulate body temperature. Cold-blooded reptiles, they relied on external sources of heat to maintain their metabolism and activity.

Some species of lizards possessed camouflage abilities, allowing them to blend seamlessly into their surroundings. Carnivorous types were known for their keen sense of smell and powerful jaws for their size, capable of delivering crushing bites to incapacitate prey or defend against threats. However, the majority only preyed on insects, and needed to flee from combat against most foes.
