Ploom

A Flumph native to the Underdark tunnels below Giantsbane, Ploom grew up in a typical flumph cloister. The group spent their time hiding from the Upperdark's perilous threats, but also passed on a rich history that they transmitted amongst their colony. Ploom was fairly large for a flumph, around 2.5 feet, and possessed a scholarly intellect and a good soul; her philosophy was to help others, no matter the cost. As she grew, she fell in love with fellow colony member Queez, and the two became inseparable.

This all changed when their cloister was ambushed and slaughtered by a patrol of Dark Elf, who hated the flumphs for their very nature. Queez and Ploom managed to escape, and lived up in a remote thermal vent close to the surface, unsure of where to go. They would feed off the psionic energy of passing Dark Dwarf, scraping out a meager existence, but knew it could not sustain them forever.
