The power to read other creature's thoughts ambiently stayed in the mind of the drinker for around minute. All surface thoughts could be read, but the drinker could also focus their attention to probe a creature's mind. If not repelled, one could gain insight into the target's emotional state, reasoning, or an idea that loomed large in its mind.
