Tricky Devil

Tricky Devils, often simply called "slot machines", were a type of game played on a simple clockwork device. Each machine had a spring-loaded lever and identical spinning cylinders called reels, which would tumble at random before locking in place.

Though many variations of Tricky Devils existed, the most common type was Devil-based as their name suggested. These versions had six golden, Infernal runes painted on three separate reels. A player inserted thre required coins into the machine's slot and pulled the lever, which caused the reels to spin, stop, and display a row of three runes. The player won by matching three or more runes, with the highest payout (typically 100x) occurring on a 666.
