Adventuring Classes

Adventuring classes were loosely-defined roles that defined how individual Mortalkind contributed to a group during exploration, combat, and other challenges. Though adventurers came in all forms and often had cross-compatible skills, classes represented archetypes that the average folk could recognize. When different classes banded together, they often mitigated the others weaknesses and bolstered their strength, forming groups that were capable of nearly any feat.

Each class had its own way of handling problems, as well as its own strengths and weaknesses. Some focused on Spellcraft, others on martial weapons, and some used a mix of both. A person's class determined what kind of abilities they had, what gear they could use, and how they approached danger or supported their team. Each adventuring class offered a different way to deal with the challenges of dangerous undertaking, and a person trained in a class was often significantly more capable than an average individual.
