Those who follow the Faith of the Mother believe that the whole of Thémos is derived from the body of a huge Titan who birthed the seven Titan-Gods. Followers call themselves "Children" and believe that the spirit of the Mother still resides in the earth, able to spread its influence through acts of nature. It is thought that some attributes of the Mother are evidenced by a map's topography, with natural locations such as The Mouth and The Fingers acting as proof of the Mother's existence. The belief is that after birthing her children, the Mother laid down to rest and became the continent.
