Welcome to the world of music! In this course students will be introduced to the concepts underlying musical theory. The class will cover such ideas as musical notation, hormonic analysis, and music composition. Although this course is heavy on theory (hence the name), students will be glad to know that hands-on practice is encouraged. Please bring any instruments you have a special affinity for when coming to class.
