The Sulcrest family is the ruling family of the Kingdom of March, and has been ruling it since 991 AC. The family came into power when the king James Edenbraid died without a legal hair, and the nobles of the kingdom elected for the Sulcrest family to rule.
The family owns land in the south of the kingdom and most of the kingdom's naval capacity and trade. They rule from Castle Sulcrest in Blind by the sea.
