Sydland (southern land) is a duchy of western Thaelia currently subjugated by the Tejn Suytäme. The area was previously an independant duchy known as Vattenland.
The duchy fell to Tejn invasion in 1009 AC and has been unstable since. None of country's neighbours tried to protect due to the ruling Duke's political positioning before the invasion.
