20th of Muvay (midnight, however)

It's late. Now's the time to head out to get that moon bowl thing, whatever it's called. Honestly my brain is mostly thinking about how we kicked in Harris' teeth. Well deserved. We decided to talk to Ernest Cobbler about it to get more information. Aggma, being familiar with him, went in to talk to him while Oris Honeyflower and I waited outside. He called the place Lily's Silverpond, there were tales about it and he found a map that showed where it was located. Except on his visit there was no pond. He fell asleep at the tree and when he woke had a silver plate in his hand, the Bells confirmed it to be magic and was worth enough for his son to attend. Each time he went he said the smell of Anise was gone and it never happened again.

Tree was struck by lightning a couple decades ago, so there's little more than a charred trunk. He clarified there was no anise the next few times, and he wasn't sure if there were any the first. Just the smell. Oris and I had the same idea: bring some anise flowers, so we decided to see Alyna Bystam to get some for the trip. She was drinking at the Dragon's Tooth, slightly tipsy but said that she had plenty of anise but it was cloves rather than fresh. I figured we could maybe try to burn it for the smoky scent, Oris and Aggma said that maybe they could grow these into flowers with magic.

Decided maybe we should bring some live flowers and steal some fresh from Gina Honeyflower's garden. We did it heist style just for the fun spirit of the hunt. Aggma was lookout, Oris ran distraction, I snuck in to steal them. In the dark I dug them out roots and all to not kill them. Honestly... this wasn't a heist. It was walking into a garden at night to pluck some flowers, but it was fun. It was silly and over-the-top but honestly? It finally put me in the mood for a fun little community event. We've been caught up with Christopher's disappearance, with Harris Yorehil' scummery, with these larger-scale events but for a second I felt...

...like a kid playing hide and seek.

I was quieter on our walk out to the tree. I guess the fun doesn't last, does it? It can't if I'm around. The moon lit our way as we made it out to the tree. It looks dead as a tomb. Oris planted the flowers, Aggma lit the cloves, and I investigated the tree. Nothing of interest on my part. Oris was talking to centipedes who said they were going to turn into beautiful butterflies and burrowed into the ground. They emerged as silver butterflies and Oris dug into it, finding the silvery waters of the pond. As we were investigating it Fay Wylders appeared flying on a broom and warned us that we weren't using it right.

She told us a tale of the girl who the lake was named after. She would produce beautiful items from it, a veritable treasure trove. The town came out and all used it but it was later found that it stole items from others, stealing it magically. Lily was then accused of witchcraft and was turned on by the town. So the lake was filled up to prevent it, but some pockets of magic water still exist. We decided maybe we should just think really hard about that chess set to steal it with less risk to us. She was gathering caterpillar husks for ingredients and said they were a bit of a snack.

When Oris reached in to take the chess set he pulled out a crystal ball. ((OOC Oris asked for something to help find his missing siblings, and wanted a scrying orb)) He immediately seemed confused. Honestly, suspiciously so. But I might be irate that this means we'll have to find another item to present, and likely means we have to steal the actual chess set. Or have Sett fight Glenn in a one on one. We decided to use the orb to find Glenn and get ready to Sett our friend after him.

The orb showed a child. We figured he must have used a polymorph or something to change his form and hide in plain sight. We went to the orphanage to investigate and asked Lady Trudgeon about if there was a kid she didn't recognize. One, Vandel, only showed up the day before. Looking at him carefully I could see some telltale signs of him not being a normal kid. I tried to play it off smoothly saying something about adoptoin but realized what I was saying was horrible and weird but gave up and decided to just confront him outright. He tried to distract me and hoof it but I went after him immediately grabbing him by the collar and issuing a duel on behalf of Sett.
