We reconvened outside the door at the top of the stairs to catch our breath.
Aggma, being the most familiar with the hells and its denizens, answered all our questions and gave her best information on what we dealt with. Not the most useful, but it was to be expected. Not a whole lot to help us fight them. We discussed our plans, what we could do. There were other exits so we don't know that these devils were trapped, so we can't leave them a long time and return.
I tried scrying the abyssal turkeys and a few locations but saw no sign of the devils in the area. As I was doing that My sister's amulet began to hum. I recognized this as a stone that can record things as if we were there, often used for people's dying moments. We watched as she delved into the ruins with 3 others. One of them was Oris Honeyflower's sibling - however they were massive. Just opened the portal and the devils came out, two fell trying to leave. Our siblings went through the portal to deal with the devils. They might still be alive.
We decided to rest up and try again in the morning. TWO siblings of ours are now potentially stuck in hell. Over the night I watched the recording again, trying to see if there was any knowledge to be gleaned. I may have replayed the end a few times to see my sister, who she is. What she looks like. It appears she's a powerful mage of some sort, able to use lightning at least. I wonder. How will it feel when I meet her.
((OOC: Long rest time! And took a break))
We head in and snuck through. After an embarrassing display of missing an Abyssal Turkey three times, we searched for the final Kankolion Pyramid and found it at the bottom of a well. Oris summoned an octopus to bring it up for us. With four needed for the portal we decided to head on over to it. We encountered two more of those stupid Turkeys. Oris asked if I could shoot two arrows at different targets at the same time and I told him the wild and fantastical impracticality of it. After listening they paused and asked if I had ever tried. Yes. It's possible but awful, a fun trick shot to show off not practical.
We killed them, and decided to ring a bell in the distance to create a distraction causing the devils to come out of the portal. We considered running past them but felt that wasn't something that was possible, so... we fought. One was a succubus immediately charming Oris and manipulating him, but I was slow to activate my tattoos to break the manipulation. The other summoned a rolling fog of poison. Overall things weren't looking so well. We managed, though I didn't feel incredibly useful. We decided perhaps to hold off on entering the portal for now as Oris was deeply injured in the fight.
