The Grand Finale
There are people cast in Larysine suspended from the ceiling, getting them down would prove to be an issue. Getting to them would prove to be an issue; everything's an issue. The larysine is being held in place by tubes sucking really hard. I tried to reduce the suction by cutting a hole in it with a dagger, but the dagger got lodged retaining the seal. I shot it with a few arrows which worked, the block fell and shattered - the person along with it. Oops. We discussed resurrecting them, as we are pretty responsible for the deaths in a way, but they were beyond being resurrected. The person was fully desiccated anyhow, so maybe they were already dead.
Unsure of what to do next we inspected the pyramid at the center of the area, which had 4 sides denoting different elements. We used spells (or in Sett's case just stabbing) to deal with the problem and finally got some results. We managed to get all this group out, and they were very helpful and forthcoming.
Isott Caine was nowhere to be found and was the only person not to be caught and put in the Larysine. When I scryed on her she seemed to be in some sort of cyan gelatinous mass or something. We proceeded down to this chamber, revealing my sister in the orb on a platform. There is an anti-magic field. A bunch of bones gathered into a person, saying he was the ruler of the Children of Dae and he would bring back his people from extinction. I told him he basically sucks and if he was better they wouldn't have gone extinct in the first place.
Upon killing this monster, Isott was released from this thing. She said thanks were in order and asked if there was any tavern we wanted to go to in order to get out of this place and have a drink. Oris Honeyflower asked if I had anything I wanted to say. Not really. I'm feeling a mix of many emotions right now, but honestly? Mostly tired. Isott sure enough cast a portal and brought us to Kai's Tea House. We arrived at midnight, and it was turned into.
Oris told Isott that I was her sister, and I laid into her. She said that our family didn't seem the type to help each other out. I told her that she was gone so long she doesn't rightly know shit about our family. She apologized and said that she needed to cut the toxicity out of her life, and I relented. I did the same thing as she did, turned tail and never looked back. So I sat down to have a real conversation and get to know my sister.
We talked about Naomi Copinger, how she hired both of us, and how things went. Naomi was apparently consumed by Larysine, she also revealed that we had heritage to the Children of Dae; Oris as well.
Naomi was apparently under the influence of Bjekiol, who even gave my sister's name to her. Then when that failed, she went after my brother and eventually me. To be honest, my whole brain is swimming trying to figure out the machinations of her. She was under the shadow of someone else's influence... but still. She sent my sister and I to my death, not to mention dragging in friends and companions on it. All some some dead child could try to bring back his playmates.
I suppose... At the end of the day, I met my sister again. My brother is doing alright, and my mother is safe and wants to see us all together. We can do that. My father did something horrible, but I can somewhat understand his reasons. Maybe one day we can get the hag to let up the price she took from him, and he can repent. Oris might stick around, and I think the others may do the same.
