Renowned as a noble Grail Knight and a loving father to his daughter, he waged battles and stood by his brethren in the Order for years, until the fateful end of the Grail War.

Despite his unwavering commitment and prayers, the patron of the River offered no relief in his hour of greatest need. Doubt crept into his heart, pushing him to seek aid elsewhere. In the depths of despair, he encountered a whisper of hope in the mining city of Whitechapel—a promise of healing for his daughter, but at a steep price: betrayal of his sacred Order.
Initially resistant, the love for his daughter proved stronger than his loyalty. He persuaded the Grand Master to launch a desperate strike against overwhelming Dominion forces, sealing the fate of the Order. Those few brothers who saw through his treachery met their end on the blood-soaked battlefield, cursing Israphel's name as they fell.
Arriving in Whitechapel, a glimmer of hope flickered as his daughter received treatment. Yet, her condition worsened, slipping into an unending slumber. The Lord of Whitechapel revealed a sinister solution—to restore her, he must also claim Israphel. Oblivious to the horror that awaited, Israphel consented, thinking it a mere potion or spell. But as the Lord's fangs pierced his neck, draining his essence, he realized too late the cruel price of salvation.
Transformed into an undying vampire, Israphel, now known as the "Black Knight," serves eternally at the side of the current Lady of Whitechapel, Emiliya Steinheart. The fate of his daughter remains a haunting mystery, lost to the shadows as Israphel is bound in servitude, a tragic figure forever damned by his choices.
He recently met one of his old brothers in arms, Bartimaeus Brightheart who survived the last charge and has returned after being petrified for the past 300 years.
