Emiliya Steinheart

Knight Lady, The Ruthless
NPC, Noble

Emiliya Steinheart was born into a noble family that had ruled Whitechapel. She was raised to be a strong and cunning ruler, and was educated in politics and warfare from a young age. Emiliya's father was a hard and stern man who believed in the power of fear, and he instilled this belief in his oldest daughter. When Emiliya became the Lady of Whitechapel, she took her father's teachings to heart and ruled with an iron fist. She was feared and respected by her subjects, but few dared to cross her. Emiliya was known to be cold and calculating, but she was not without a sense of mercy. She took care of her people and made sure that the city was safe and prosperous.

However, there were whispers that Emiliya was involved in dark magic and had made a pact with some powerful entity to keep her city rich in resources. Some even claimed that the perpetual darkness that covered Whitechapel was caused by her dark practices. Emiliya paid no heed to these rumors, dismissing them as the idle gossip of jealous rivals. One of the ways that Emiliya kept her nobles and commoners alike under her thumb was by holding gladiatorial games in the old chasms beneath the city. The games were brutal and bloody, and attracted the wealthy and powerful from all over the region. The common folk saw it as a way to forget their troubles and be entertained, while the nobles saw it as a way to assert their dominance and make a fortune.

Despite her reputation, Emiliya had a deep sense of duty and loyalty to her people. She knew that the mines were the lifeblood of her city and that they needed to be managed carefully. She was always on the lookout for new ways to exploit the resources of Whitechapel and make her city even stronger. Emiliya was also known for her sharp mind and cunning tactics. She was a master of intrigue and was always two steps ahead of her enemies. She was not above using blackmail, bribery, or even assassination to get what she wanted. Her intelligence and ruthlessness made her a formidable opponent, and many feared to cross her. Despite her fearsome reputation, Emiliya was not without her admirers. There were those who saw her as a strong and capable leader who was doing what she had to do to keep her city safe and prosperous. They admired her strength of character and her determination to do what was necessary, no matter the cost.

A Shrouded Family

The mystery surrounding Steinheart family has led to numerous rumors and speculations about their origins and their involvement in dark practices. Some believe that the Steinhearts have been involved in necromancy and other arcane arts for generations, which has led to the perpetual gray skies over Whitechapel. Others claim that they have made a pact with a powerful demon, which has granted them immense power but also a curse that must be upheld through the bloody gladiatorial games held under the city.

The family was founded by Ashton Steinheart in the year 584, little is known about him other than the fact that he had a son named Arthur with an unknown mother in the year 596. Many records have gone missing about what happened next, some states there have been three Arthurs afterwards until the year 859 when Emiliya was born and in the year 865 Aleana was born. Once more, their mother or mothers are unknown. As for the Arthurs, there are many different theories. Some believe that there has been a line of Arthurs, each with their own dark secrets and power. Others claim that there was only one Arthur, who has somehow managed to live for centuries through unnatural means. It is said that he is a master of magic and alchemy, and that he has used his powers to keep the Steinheart family in control of Whitechapel for all these years.

Despite the rumors, Emiliya remains a formidable leader and ruler, feared by many and respected by few. She is known to be ruthless in her pursuit of power, and is not afraid to eliminate anyone who stands in her way. However, some whisper that she has a soft spot for her younger sister Aleana, who is said to be much more troubled and unpredictable, unlike her younger sibling. Regardless of the truth behind the Steinheart family, one thing is clear - Whitechapel remains a city shrouded in darkness and mystery, where danger lurks around every corner and the only certainty is that the Steinhearts will continue to hold sway over their domain.

Emiliya's husband Antone is a man shrouded in mystery, and little is known about his past. However, it is believed that he was a commoner lord, and his rise to power is still a topic of speculation. He is known to be a ruthless and sadistic man who enjoys inflicting pain and suffering on others. His twisted nature is rumored to be the reason why Emiliya married him, but the true reason remains a mystery. Despite his cruel nature, Antone maintains an image of strength and authority in public, and he uses his position as a lord to assert his dominance over those around him. He is feared by the common folk of Whitechapel, who know of his dark desires and sadistic tendencies. Rumors abound that Antone has ties to the Vache Kingdom, a distant land known for its ruthless and strict rulers. It is speculated that Antone has learned his cruel ways from the Vache and that he seeks to emulate their brutal tactics in his own rule over Whitechapel. Despite his outward appearance of power, Antone is not in control of his marriage with Emiliya. She punishes him in ways that he cannot find pleasure in, and it is clear to those close to her that she is the one in charge in their relationship.

Relations to the Lords and Baron.

Emiliya Steinheart is a woman of few words, but she holds strong opinions about the other Lords of the Greenfield barony. She is impressed by Martin Winfield's leadership and how he has turned Windelcrest around, but she doesn't openly praise him, as she believes that it might give him an upper hand in any future negotiations or conflicts. When it comes to Nikolay Von Keiner of Falktown, Emiliya is not pleased with his intentions of bringing in firearms to Rivermond. She believes that it will destabilize the balance of power and cause unnecessary chaos. Emiliya is wary of James Holmes of Shoremond, whom she has met before. She has no high opinion of him and believes that he is cunning and untrustworthy.

As for Elenora Hamilton of Edgewater Port, Emiliya has only heard of her exploits at sea but has never spoken to her. However, she finds her to be an interesting lady and knight, and looks forward to the possibility of meeting her in the future. Despite her reservations about the other lords, Emiliya holds great respect for the Baron of Greenfield, and there is much she wishes she could tell him. However, she knows that he is an old man with a heavy burden, and she doesn't want to add any more weight to his already heavy load. Emiliya is loyal to him and will do anything he commands her to do, even if she doesn't always agree with his decisions.
