On their way to Windelcrest the party encountered Rasmus the Travelling Merchant. During this interaction the party uncovered that Rasmus had been robbed during his stay in Windelcrest. One book from his chained up collection had been taken by an unknown figure. The party failed to get a better insight on what the book was however Rasmus mentioned two people who appeared to show interest in it previously. A female enchantress in the City and a hooded male Wizard. The party took on the task to find the book for Rasmus.

  1. The Party sought out the Enchantress in Windelcrest.
    1. They found her in the shop: "Enhancing Flairs and Feats"
    2. The enchantress, named Maria Voldo, confimed her encounter with Rasmus and warned the party about the book.
However she claimed to have no interest in obtaining the book herself.
  2. The party asked around about the supposed hooded Wizard. Another shop appeared to have seen them, the local alchamist in the city mentioned there had been talks about a Wizard thief. After some convincing the man pointed them in a direction out into the Grandfields.
    1. The party decided to track down the Wizard before nightfall and headed out into the wilds. Eventually they found signs of necromancy, when they got too close a group of freshly decomposing soldiers errupted from the soil beneath them. They stuck them down with ease before finding a well hidden tunnel that took them into a chamber within the cliff. They came across more undead, skeleton warriors guarding something which they also took care of easily. They moved further in to discover that the Wizard was a Necromancer who was working for a Lich. Between them and the Lich with the stolen book stod several skeletons and the Necromancer. The fight was harsh but they mostly came out victorious. The Lich was vanquished and the Necromancer killed.
    2. The party obtained the book. Seeing it bleeding from its pages and having several eyes on its cover staring at the party. They stabbed the book to no avail before sealing it in a lead box.
  3. The party brought the book to Hal Brightheart who had no idea what to make of it as it was not his area of expertise.
  4. The party brought the book to Martin Winfield who had little knowledge about it however after hearing the party's feat of getting it he understood its best kept protected.
    1. The Martin's Court were too suspicious about the book which made the Party keep the book under their own protection.
  5. The party encrountered Rasmus outside of the Stormwoods where they brought the book forward.
    1. The party investigated the book further after seeing Rasmus reaction to it. Amelia perceived the book's past and saw that Rasmus had indeed used the book's powers at times and she saw the horrors it contained. Bartimaeus broke the curse it held onto Rasmus but the book remained possesed by its vile demon. The party kept the book but held it in a sealed box made by Varis.
