Amiir Khein

The Defender, The Bastion Prince, The Shield Of Khein

Amiir was born into the Khein Dynasty during an era drenched in blood and conflict. By the time of his youth, the land had already endured three devastating Crusades from the west, and the Fourth Crusade was raging with no end in sight. For Amiir, childhood was a luxury he could not afford. Raised among the ruins of battlefields, he entered military service as soon as he could wield a weapon, growing into a faithful and hardened warrior of the Dynasty.

As a footsoldier, Amiir fought on the frontlines against the relentless forces of the Silver Dominion. He knew only duty — to defend his homeland and serve the God King, Horus Khein, even unto death. Near the twilight of the Fourth Crusade, the tides finally began to shift in the Dynasty’s favor. But just as victory seemed within reach, the Dominion unleashed their ultimate secret: the Arch-angels. These celestial beings descended from the heavens, turning the very skies against the mortal defenders.

Faced with this overwhelming divine might, Horus Khein himself descended from his throne and strode onto the battlefield. In a cataclysmic clash remembered in a thousand songs, the God King battled two Arch-angels at once, shattering the earth and sky with his fury. Amiir, fighting nearby, witnessed the spectacle — a sight few mortals would ever survive to tell.

In a critical moment, as Horus moved to slay one of the angels, the second Arch-angel struck from behind. Death loomed — but before the fatal blow could land, a mortal soldier, a nameless footsoldier, intervened. Amiir parried the divine strike with mortal steel, a feat so impossible it drained him of all strength, causing him to collapse at the feet of his God King. Yet his act had saved Horus Khein’s life.

In that moment, Horus saw greatness in the soldier’s defiance. Sparing the defeated Arch-angels and letting them retreat, the God King personally lifted Amiir from the blood-soaked battlefield. In the war’s aftermath, Horus honored the young warrior by naming him Amiir Khein, the Defender, granting him immortality and a place among his divine Princes. With Amiir now guarding the borders, the relentless Crusades of the Dominion finally came to an end. No army from the west has dared launch another since his ascension.

Over the centuries, Amiir has earned a reputation as one of the Dynasty’s most disciplined and unyielding commanders. His patient, defensive tactics favor exhausting the enemy rather than reckless engagement. He thrives in long sieges, where his calm leadership and unbreakable resolve inspire his forces to endure against overwhelming odds. He shares a spirited — and at times deadly — rivalry with Prince Ahriman Khein, the Dreadful. The two often clash over strategies, skill, and honor, each testing the other's limits, yet bound by a grudging respect. Amiir also maintains a vital partnership with Prince Alikhan Khein, who ensures that his legions are always supplied with the finest arms and provisions.

Today, Amiir Khein stands as a living bulwark against the enemies of the Dynasty, his name synonymous with vigilance, endurance, and unwavering loyalty to Horus. He is the steadfast shield of the Khein Dynasty — and a reminder to all that even the gods sometimes owe their lives to the courage of a mortal soul.
