Plotpoints
- Dale Cooper and the Black Pack return to the Vast Swamp to search for Cooper Whitebrow. All they found was his blood.
- The pack went in search of their horses, which they found down the road a couple of days later. Among the dead horses were the bones of Seraphina Jardeth, along with a pile of mushrooms that looked like the ones she ate in the Vast Swamp.
- Dale & Brsh Whitebrow partner up and follow a large animal trail, searching for what killed their horses.
- The duo were attacked by a massive rabid squirrel with fungal growths and bursts of spores coming from its body. Brsh was infected with Rabies, and Dale was infected with Fungal Rot. They killed and burned its body.
- Brsh saw a metal object come flying down towards Dale, so he shot it down with a firebolt. The object turned out to be Bob, who had been hiding from the squirrel.
- Dale & Brsh returned to the pack, and they all began burning the horse bodies when after realizing the attacker had rabies.
- Brsh had his rabies removed by Shikara.
- Shikara & Vikara had dream visions, which they discussed with the pack during a meeting. They believed that Malar wanted his followers in Chult. They believed that not only were they meant to bring an end to Vecna's and Acererak's Death Curse, but they were to channel the souls captured so that they could gain reincarnation abilities meant to help them send Yeenoghu back to the Abyss.
- Dale travels with the pack to Chult, where they begin removing the undead from a spot the Tarutha sisters said would be a good starting point for their mission. Dale & Brsh were sent off to Firefinger to investigate whether the Pterafolk were still alive. They were sent through a tree portal by Vikara.
- After killing Giant Wolf Spiders and Stirges, Dale fell 160 from the cliffside of Firefinger to the jungle floor below. A pterafolk dove down toward Brsh, who shot it out of the sky. A swarm of pterafolk came down to attack Brsh, who hid inside the first couple levels of the Firefinger cave system. Brsh nearly escaped in a fog cloud, but one of the pterafolk managed to grab and carry Brsh all the way to the top of Firefinger, out of sight from Dale.
- Dale had been hearing massive footsteps and terrifying roars coming in his direction, and he chose to walk back to the pack. He discovered an awakened parrot named Jimothy along the way.
