Membership
As it stands, the Commission is in dire need for recruits and members to push their efforts from concept into reality. That being the case, they are admitting any individuals that possess skills and capabilities potentially useful in either foreign, hostile environments or with the political savvy to perform diplomatic functions.
Due to unspecified political reasons, the Toscaire Council has forbade anyone with previous or current ties (if possible) with the Aeron Furor Warworks from gaining admittance. Many speculate this is due to rumors that the AFW is somehow trying to rebuild in a new land to continue what many fear may be immoral experiments.
Rank & Renown
The MRCC is very aware that they aren't entirely sure what to expect and therefor, what to find. Rank and renown are gathered upon a case by case basis, with findings, discoveries and political contacts being weighed as they are reported.
Rank One: Seeker
Prerequisites: Rank 1 and renown 10 or higher.
The majority of individuals in the Commission begin their careers at this rank. Seekers are the meat and potatoes of the MRCC's task forces. They are given the responsibility of stepping into the field first, scouting out the environment, engaging locals as possible and bringing back the preliminary findings to their superiors.
Additionally, the Commission has obtained special members to help train new recruits. Upon joining, the new member can choose to learn from one of these individuals. If they choose the scientist and famed adventurer Zestari Valkas they obtain the Scout Edge. If they learn from the emissaries who studied the strange languages of Almaasa Ningal, they may obtain the Linguist Edge.
These individuals teach advanced techniques that need a base-line to establish, so you must still meet the requirements for the Edges.
Rank Two: Specialist
Prerequisites: Rank 2 and renown 25 or higher.
By this point the members are filtered into their fields of specialty. Members either become apart of the Commissions diplomatic or reconnaissance wings. Their tasks tend to remain in the same general fields, however, they are often given more important or difficult tasks to accomplish.
To guarantee success, those with the relevant skills are improved upon; either gaining the Explorer Edge if they obtained the Scout Edge in the previous rank or Diplomat if they chose Linguist.
Rank Three: Officer of Foreign Development
Prerequisites: Rank 3 and renown 50 or higher.
This is the end-state of a career in the Commission. Or, its planned to be when they can provide the rewards for it. Members who achieve this rank may be given the Governor Edge, giving them command of a foreign colony of Inis Mona. Until then, the Commission rewards its most competent members an annual income of 5,000ag.
They are also given the authority and are expected to develop their own plans and prioritize tasks to better the foreign affairs of the Toscaire Council.
