Despite this, he is always eager to lend a hand, and is currently working on restoring the lands of his youth so he can invite people from the lower rungs of Ishgard to live there in peace.
Currently A'leigh works as a merchant, shuffling goods back and forth while making deals with prospective partners. He keeps his two lives separate the best he can, though sometimes he can't help when the two blend together..

If you are a member of Ishgardian nobility or a member of the House of Lords, perhaps you would remember an incident where two miqo'te caused an uproar a year or so ago during a business proposal. One claimed lordship to a defunct house, and had the blackmail to twist arms into his favor. The House of Lords have been quiet about this, but whispers continue behind closed doors.

It is rumored that the Lord of Gaspard, while kind to his people, is a beast in both heart and looks. They say he may have slain his own adoptive father to get his hands on his title, though that seems to be something a knight too deep into his cups would ramble about.
