Usibeni Nihiko was not born in the Ruby Sea and did not see it until adulthood, so stop asking about it! Aside from her name she shucks most of her cultural heritage as a raen and couldn't tell you the first thing about any of it, she was born in Eorzea. She is a slightly more scaly than average Eorzean drunkard like the rest of the mercenaries and brawlers in Ul'dah, there from the gladiator rings and pugilist guilds.
She was hired onto the Verdant Wind Mercantile Company after one of its members graciously offered to pay for a meal she was caught stealing. She's been on the "straight and narrow" now that she works at a proper company, which includes no public brawling, no public drunkenness, and occasionally polite manners in the presence of customers. She guards shipments and hunts for treasure, ore, herbs, and any resources that can be turned into goods by the folks who can sew, forge, and craft.
Nowadays you can find her lurking around the company house if she's not been hired for an adventure or to seek some treasure.
