Intermission
In the prior session, the opening scene was just ahead of (in-game) dinner time, when most of the castle’s forces had finished afternoon duties. Night time sneaking about is a concern after hearing about a “creature from hell” that patrols by night, enforcing a strict curfew over the courtyards.
- Ujio: disguised as mercenary drill sergeant, job to distract Captain Othelstan and his lieutenants
- Tallon the Tall: disguised as mercenary, challenged an enormous half-orc (Fruffy Bigbonk) to a friendly duel
- Belcoria: disguised as mercenary, assisted Talis the White (Kasterel) in a ritual (see info below)
- Mon-Kei: disguised as an entertainer, performed acrobatics for the V.I.P.s to distract from Yeet and Willow
- Yeet Longshade: barely noticeable - almost a ghost presence, spying using stealth / Nondescript / Disguise
- Willow: disguised as an animal handler, spying in the form of a cat - found Rezmir’s room, letters
Goals
- What’s up with the cloud giant (Blagothkus) helping the Cult of the Dragon? Turn him against?
- Learn more about the Cult of the Dragon plot to bring Tiamat into the world
- Who else is working with the Cult of the Dragon? Red Wizards of Thay? Foreign kingdoms?
- Take down Black Wyrmspeaker Rezmir
- Can the stolen treasures be returned to the places the Cult of the Dragon raided?

Our Party finds itself in a moment of frozen time
(see special Note/poem Twas the Night of Simril).
What follows are glimpses setting the stage for the next events. Within this frozen time, the group and instantly reposition themselves for when time resumes. These are the peeks into the present moment on this flying iceberg...
- Purple Robes (leaders of the Cult of the Dragon)
- Talis the White (Kasterel) half elf priestess of Tiamat
- Wanted to be the White Wyrmspeaker (have the White Dragon Mask)
- Double-crossed (twice) by Rezmir, now vows revenge/sabotage
- Still not a nice person, but your enemy’s enemy at the moment.
- She is deep within the iceberg, trying to turn the dragon away from Rezmir.
- In the ritual performed with Belcoria, Talis used an ability allowing her to communicate with dragons, and reported:

Your friend Venomfang is strange - chatty and weirdly human-oriented for a dragon, even a green dragon. Must be because of her great mother’s deep scheming into the lives of the mortal world that surrounds her lair. She confirmed knowing you - so I suppose you can be trusted. She asked if you were well and what you are up to. I tried to be polite before having to cut off the sending, as it was heavily tiring for me to keep up with her vapid blahblahblah. I certainly prefer the calm ferocity of the whites to the scheming trickery of the greens - they are much too much work, I’m sure you have noticed this.
But more importantly I’ve reached the great Glazhael the Cloudchaser, the beautiful dragon now dwelling in the ice caves below, to remind him how much better I have always been to him, and of the great things we might do together. He is destined for far more than this tedious work as a mere guard dog for Rezmir’s treasure.
- Rezmir (warrior) half dragon (black)
- She is the Black Wyrmspeaker (has the black mask, but you have not seen it)
- Yeet assassinated her sniper-style on the bridge
- She burst into flames - which got the ice devil’s attention
- She is about to transform into a nastier form - killing that form made her stronger?
- Her new form can create and move through darkness with astonishing speed.
- Stealing her letters and the mask should be a priority!
- Frulam Mondath (cleric) human priestess of Tiamat
- Sleeping in the VIP quarters
- From Talis: The priestess named Frulam is a potential threat to notice our plan, so she must be watched carefully - and if she accidentally slips off the icy battlements one evening, that would maybe be helpful too.
- Capt Othelstan (warrior) human commander of the Cult of the Dragon’s fighting forces
- Cult of the Dragon - there are ranks among the cultists:
- Dragonclaw (fanatic of the cult / warrior) - humans, half-orcs, half-elves, dwarves, elves
- Dragonwing (fanatic - winged versions of dragonclaws)
- The kobalds seem to be the servants of the Cult of the Dragon
- Rezmir (warrior) half dragon (black)
- Red Wizards of Thay - involved somehow, unknown what’s going on there still
- Two of them in the blue-roofed tower on the wall.
- One of them seems strangely made.
- They use some sort of a gate in the crystal-topped tower.
- There is at least one devil patrolling the courtyard at night.
- Valuable to find messages or question them if possible.
- From Talis: The Red Wizards present a problem, yes, but I don’t know much about them.
- Giants
- Wiglof and Hulda (Неизвестноs - married couple)
- Guests of the cloud giant, longtime friends/servants of his father Rathkarcius
- Worried about him being melancholy (sad) and weak
- Male uses magic cauldron for seeing rituals
- think the cult will betray Blagothkus
- Told the group to take Belcoria, Willow and Tallon to see Blagothkus at dusk when none to see.
- Blagothkus (Неизвестно - not quite adult yet)
- Commands Skyreach Castle itself (its magic and movement through the sky)
- Not long ago (in giant time), his father Rathkarcius passed away.
- He is not yet confident with himself or his powers - and misses his dad.
- Under the sway of the Red Wizards who threaten him and his father’s spirit.
- At first the Red Wizards told him they could bring his father back from the dead.
- Rathkarcius (cloud giant - dead / spirit)
- There is a tomb under the big tower with his body, it is sealed in thick, magic ice
- Technically, his spirit is what “powers” the magic keeping the castle afloat.
- Only will take direction from Blagothkus (from the control room at top of the tower)
- Some sort of fiend is able to enter the tomb and put the spirit at unease.
- Wiglof and Hulda (Неизвестноs - married couple)
- Dragon: Glazhael the Stormchaser (Неизвестно) - not very bright, or predictable
