Queen Diani ir'Wynarn is the current queen of Thrane, though her position is largely ceremonial as she has no temporal power to govern the nation. Diani ascended to the throne in 988 YK, just eight years before the end of the Last War.
She has done her best to try and maintain the traditions of her people and keep the monarchy relevant in Thrane, but this is difficult. She is little more than a political figurehead at current, but she is a gifted diplomat and is well respected amongst the Council of Flamekeep and Thrane's nobility, and has smoothed over more than one political incident with Thrane's neighbours.
Although she is opposed to the Keeper of the Flame's position as head of state, Diani is fond of Jaela Daran and meets with her often, doing what she can to help Jaela make decisions that are in the best interest of the Thranish people, even if this goes counter to Diani's own goals. Diani is almost always accompanied by her bodyguard and confidant, Dzarro Silvervein.
