30. Say No To Drugs

2nd Aryth, 999 YK

  • Tamara does the recap, you know the drill
  • There is a brief discussion about whether to speak to Nigel Faurious and get the information on the next mission first, or whether they just fob him off and go hang out with Daask
  • They decide to go speak to Nigel first
  • They start discussing how much they're all being paid, and the disparity. Apparently Nerys is being paid in exposure.
  • On the way, Nerys suggests they sneak up on him to see if he's doing anything shifty
  • Damien asks why?
  • Apparently he gives off twist villain vibes. Rude.
  • They aren't sure of the logistics of that
  • Nerys then suggests asking some students what they think of him? That could be enlightening
  • Damien says the university is so big though, the chances that any random person are one of his students is small
  • What does he even teach?
  • "Planar studies, that's the whole- did you not know why we were getting these things?" says Damien
  • lmao
  • Okay they're at the office
  • Nerys knocks, he answers. This is suspicious apparently
  • Yashira says it is a bit odd that he left it 3 seconds before responding
  • Ban says maybe he needed to get dressed or something?
  • He can definitely hear them discussing this
  • Nerys walks in and says hi, there's a quest?
  • "Yeah, did Lhara give you the details?"
  • Not a lot
  • He explains that he heard about the object from another researcher named Vilda Karrte. She's another planar researcher, her research indicates the Spiral Well is connected to Xoriat, but Nigel has never seen it. He has no idea what it does.
  • Nerys is fairly familiar with Xoriat, given their history in the Mror Holds. They give a brief explanation of its whole deal.
  • "It's like when you have afternoon tea at 3 in the morning"
  • Fucking wild
  • But the important part is, it's super fucking dangerous
  • Nigel says that Vilda went on a research expedition several months ago to try and find it, but he hasn't heard from her in months. He assumes she's dead, so the Well is theirs for the taking
  • They comment that this is rather callous? Doesn't he care that she may be dead?
  • He barely knows her, he's only met her once. But he'll pay them a bonus if they can find out what happened to her
  • Yashira asks what happens if she's alive and well, and doesn't want to give him the Well?
  • "Then you were sent to rescue her, and we'll work on it together"
  • Yashira is suspicious, would he really share the glory?
  • She thinks he is willing to work on it with her, but she senses a lie. He's talking about sharing the glory, but Yashira doesn't think he actually cares about the glory. She doesn't comment on it now, she'll bring it up later.
  • Nerys also asks a follow up, it's not Vilda's artifact, are they grave robbing again?
  • Nigel doesn't have enough information to answer that question
  • They ponder whether this means they should jump on this now, in case it makes a difference in whether Vilda survives. Yashira thinks it's like a missing person's case, the longer it's been, the less hopeful it looks, and it's been months
  • Nerys starts to try and make small talk, but Damien says he's getting bored
  • Charlie wants to ask Nigel a question, but he wants the rest of the group to leave first. Damien ushers them out.
  • Nerys thinks it's probably gonna be university related
  • Nigel started writing again when they started leaving, so he hasn't noticed that Charlie is still here
  • "I'm really sorry for them, Nigel" opens Charlie
  • "Oh, fuck! Sorry Charlie, I didn't realise you were still there"
  • "I just wanted to say I was sorry for them"
  • "Oh, they're adventurers"
  • He said it like a slur, apparently
  • Nigel asks if Charlie is one of his students? He is not
  • Charlie awkwardly leaves. Holy shit it's so awkward
  • Yashira saves him, she has another question actually. She knocks on the door and asks if they can delay leaving? They have some business to wrap up in Sharn first
  • He can't see it being an issue, he's got a lot to get on
  • Damien also has a question. "When you last saw her, what did Vilda Karrte look like?"
  • "Kinda like a fairytale villain, to be honest."
  • He describes a woman in practical, adventuring clothing with purple swirly imagery on, and an evil looking sceptre. Really sharp cheekbones.
  • "Was there anything else, Charlie?"
  • "Yes, just regarding your research, are you writing this down anywhere? I'd like to read your notes"
  • Oh, yeah, sure. He doesn't want Charlie to take the research away, but he can come read it whenever
  • Nigel says good luck as Charlie is leaving. Charlie says "oh, we don't need it" and does finger guns, and Nigel just says "...yup"
  • When Charlie returns to the group, Damien and Nerys are talking fairy tales. "Yeah, most fairies are dicks"
  • Charlie interrupts, "not all of them!"
  • Nerys asks what they were talking about, Charlie tells them
  • "Sounds boring" - all of them except Charlie
  • Damien calls Charlie "darling", and Nerys asks if they need to call HR?
  • "I think HR is Lhara" says Yashira, "and she's just gonna pinch her nose and say 'I don't care what you do, as long as you get the job done'"
  • Yeah probably
  • Okay so they have a few days until Daask get in contact. Do they want to do anything in that time?
  • Nerys suggests they get some good boots, the Shadow Marches are swampy
  • Yashira asks who's been to a swamp before? What's the humidity like?
  • lmao
  • A random passerby (Books) is like "oh girl"
  • Yashira tries to lock down this passerby but they have an appointment
  • "You'll have to figure out swamps yourselves"
  • Yashira suggests they can prep for swamps after they deal with Daask, before they leave. In the meantime, they can do some research on what they might need. Nerys thinks there's a Marcher immigrant community in Cassan Bridge.
  • Nerys makes a bunch of friends there and gets a load of details on what they might need. They can't get all of it (Hunda sticks) in Sharn though.
  • They get scammed into buying snake repellant (Nerys and Ban)
  • Damien separately gets scammed into buying snake repellant
  • Damien gets a wide brimmed hat with the corks hanging off (they were told to get a net for their hats to keep bugs off)
  • Yashira despairs, they were supposed to be fashion buddies. Damien says it is fashionable!
  • No
  • She refuses
  • "Just because we're going through a filthy swamp doesn't mean we have to be filthy and wear bad hats!"
  • She's having a crisis about this, how do you look stylish in a fucking swamp? It's gonna be so hot, and the bugs, oh it's gonna be awful
  • Yashira interrogates Nerys' friends for as much information as possible. She wants to know everything down to what materials they need to be wearing (and she's gonna make sure they're fashionable)
  • Tamara comes up with a bunch of people off the cuff and it's really impressive tbh
  • Nerys asks why Yashira is so into fashion? Did she pick that up from Chantalyn?
  • No! Yashira trained to be a tailor!! She just didn't want to do it professionally, forever
  • She's judging everyone. She gets the materials to make custom outfits for everyone to survive the swamp


4th Aryth, 999 YK

  • Yashira is making the clothes. Long outfits, covering all of their limbs. Tough, thigh high boots. Large hats, with bug nets. (Thanks Books for your expertise)
  • There is a knock on her door. It's Rhazala. Yashira looks down at her and says "well played. How'd you figure it out?"
  • "Oh the boss told me. They said that sending me to your house was a tack tick"
  • "A tack tick?"
  • "Yeah that's what she said."
  • "Want me to gather the others?"
  • "Yes please"
  • "You hungry?"
  • "I could eat"
  • "Okay, come on in you little goblin"
  • Yashira rustles something up for Rhazala, some of Ban's leftovers. So it's the best food that Rhazala has ever eaten. But the only non-alcoholic drinks that Yashira has is water and milk, and goblins can't have milk
  • Yashira asks if she's gonna show them where to go?
  • "Oh right you haven't been yet. I can wait here while you get the others"
  • lmao
  • "No you should come with me"
  • "Yeah okay"
  • Let's get everyone's addresses
  • Yashira is gonna be more careful than that. Her home is also her business, so she's not too surprised it was found
  • Yashira sends Sendings to the others telling them to meet her and Rhazala at her office
  • Yashira then spends the next hour with Rhazala. She's warming up to the little scamp.
  • The rest of them all gather at Yashira's office. Rhazala keeps finding her hidden weapons in the apartment.
  • "Look, it's good to have a concealed weapon in every room so if someone comes at you, you're always prepared."
  • "Oh I know, I have knives hidden all over the city"
  • "Can you show me one?"
  • "hmm, but what if I need it?"
  • "I'll put it back"
  • "You better because I will know it was you if they go missing, and I know where you live"
  • Yashira asks Rhaz to dial back the spice a bit. "How about, you show me one and if nothing happens to it after a while, you show me some others? As a trust exercise"
  • "Only if you show me yours"
  • Rhazala has already found 3 of Yashira's weapons.
  • "Look, just don't take my knives. I guess if you happen to be here and someone attacks you, you can use one- what am I saying? Don't take my knives."
  • Yashira gets down to her level. "Look, if I get implicated in any crimes because you took one of my knives, I know where you live"
  • "No you don't, I'm homeless!"
  • They come to an understanding
  • "Can I tell you something and you promise not to get mad about it."
  • "You can tell me something, I can't promise I won't get mad."
  • "Okay."
  • "Okay I won't get mad"
  • Rhazala returns a knife that she stole.
  • Atta girl. "That's good, I count them before I leave."
  • Yashira checks that all of her knvies are still present (and there are no new knives), locks the doors, and they head out and meet the others at the cafe opposite. Rhazala is too young for a coffee.
  • Damien is arguing with the barista, again.
  • They all greet, and Damien asks what Rhazala is doing here?
  • "She found my apartment, so here we are."
  • Yashira explains the deal, Rhazala will lead them down to Shamukaar.
  • Nerys asks if they can finish their hot chocolate before they go? It was too hot.
  • Yashira tells them to take it to go.
  • Yashira tosses the barista a silver piece to apologise for Damien's behaviour. Little did she know, she was also paying for the pastry that Rhazala took.
  • Oh yeah, Rhazala took a pastry.
  • They don't notice until they're out of the cafe and she's eating it.
  • Ban also has cookies, made specially for Rhazala. He feels so guilty about the milk incident.
  • She's got them wrapped around her finger. They thought Lhara was their boss?
  • Rhazala asks what they're going to do after all this?
  • Nerys says they're going to the Shadow Marches. "Why?"
  • "We're finding something for someone and bringing it back. That's why we got this premium snake repellant"
  • "What makes it premium?"
  • "The name"
  • It's House J'rasco
  • Yashira has finally twigged they bought snake repellant. "What?"
  • Damien says, condescendingly, that there is more than just bugs in the swamp
  • Yashira asks how much they paid for this?
  • Ban says they got a deal! Four for the price of five!
  • It seems they are rapidly losing their money privileges
  • Yashira says maybe they can all teach her the art of being a savvy shopper, because clearly she's not there
  • Damien whips out the cork hat. Rhazala says it looks fucking stupid. Damien throws it in the nearest bin.
  • Charlie was in the middle of saying "oh that's really cu- oh you've thrown it away"
  • Ruckus fishes it out of the bin. Free hat!
  • Finally, they head down to Khyber's Gate
  • Everyone they pass is giving them a little too much attention.
  • Nobody actually bothers them though. They have a chaperone.
  • Ruckus warns them all not to start a fight in Shamukaar, under any circumstances. Daask runs the place and they take its neutrality very seriously, everyone will turn on them if they start a fight
  • Nerys asks for clarification on what constitutes starting a fight?
  • Ruckus says don't start a fight. Just don't do it.
  • Charlie says to act the opposite to how you would in a tavern in Darguun. Keep it chill, keep the beans cool (he actually said that)
  • Ruckus enters the establishment first. It's a 3 tiered door, sized for goblins, hobgoblins, and ogres respectively. Ban follows Ruckus through, and then the next person has to open the bigger door, until they're all in.
  • They enter Shamukaar, and Ban is fascinated by it. There's a sign above the bar that says they'll cook your meat for 2 copper. Another sign below that says they're hiring a butcher, last one arrested
  • Yashira says it's best they don't tip. lol
  • There's a one-eyed, scrungly gnoll behind the bar that is cleaning a hammered metal cup.
  • Everyone is looking at the party. Nerys whispers that they're nervous. Damien says to just find a table and sit down.
  • Yashira tells them to act casual and confident
  • Rhazala says something in goblin, which only Ruckus understands, but it suddenly makes everyone a lot less interested in the party. (She said they were here to see Harash)
  • Yashira asks Ruckus to translate, he says "we're good"
  • They find a table and sit down, Rhazala goes and speaks to the bartender, then returns to the group and tells them Harash is ready. She also says they should try the korluaat
  • Ruckus translates that, "hero's blood"
  • "Is it actually blood?"
  • Rhazala says she doesn't know, she's not old enough to drink, obviously
  • "Oh you should also buy me some shaat'aar"
  • Of course! Nerys buys Rhaz some shaat'aar
  • Ban also buys one, and another one to give to Rhaz
  • Oh go on then, Damien orders one too, and some korluaat
  • Yashira passes on the korluaat
  • Charlie and Ban get some though
  • Ban tries it first, and it's the most alcoholic beverage he's ever tried. "It's quite...unique"
  • Damien goes next, and has a much more visceral reaction to it
  • Nerys asks for a sip? Damien lets them try it. "Oh that's really nice!"
  • "Fucking dwarves" says Damien
  • Yashira asks if Charlie is gonna drink his drink? He stares at it, and then chugs it
  • He is instantly drunk, damn it Charles
  • While they're all looking at Charlie, Rhazala tries to sneak Damien's drink. Yashira stops her.
  • Damien says he shouldn't have drunk that. "You're so hot when you're concerned about me"
  • Rhazala tilts her head and asks what's wrong with him?
  • Damien says he had too much to drink, "so keep your grubby fingers off it"
  • "My fingers aren't grubby today because Yashira made me wash them!"
  • "No drinking in our presence, Rhazala" advises Yashira. "Sure I can follow that rule"
  • Nerys says they're setting her up to do it once Yashira isn't there. Ruckus says yeah, she ain't their kid
  • "But maybe if you let have a sip now while we're here-"
  • Ban, Damien, and Yashira all speak at once to explain why this is a bad idea
  • Gotta start em on weaker beverages. "Charlie's a tall lad and look what even that little bit has done to him"
  • Nerys comments on him being a twig, and Ban reminds them not to pick fights
  • "So are you ready to speak to the boss?"
  • lmao
  • Nerys is concerned about Charlie's state, but it is what it is. They give him the important job of watching Damien's back. "Make sure at all times, his back is being looked at"
  • He's watching Damien's ass. That counts.
  • Damien throws it out a lil, and Rhazala squints, before leading them to a door.
  • She knocks, and leads them into Harash's office. He's reading a book when they come in, and tells them to take a seat. There are only three, but they are nicely cushioned.
  • I ask Steph what he's reading. A collection of Cyran war poetry.
  • Yashira notices that Harash's chair is too big for him. I ask Chloe what else stands out to her? There are velvet curtains, as if there was a window, but there is no window. Like an effort has been made to make it look like an above ground office.
  • Damien also notices that there is the same collection of smut books that Damien has been reading on the bookshelf.
  • Harash asks what he can help them with?
  • One of them comments on it being lucky they aren't wearing their snake repellant, but I didn't catch who it was.
  • They let Charlie have a seat
  • Nerys takes another
  • Ruckus takes the last one. The rest have to stand.
  • There is some debate about who should do the talking, they settle on Yashira.
  • Yashira didn't sit, she doesn't like the thought of it making her less able to escape. She stands behind Nerys' chair.
  • Once they're all situated, Harash asks them to close the door. Yashira does it.
  • Yashira apologises for the inconvenience, they appreciate him taking the time to take this meeting with them.
  • "We're looking for someone, we think they work with Daask, we just don't know their exact location."
  • "How do you know they work with us?"
  • "We're following a rumour. They have a very distinctive appearance. I can give you the description?"
  • Harash gestures for her to do so. She describes Razgon as best she can. As she's doing so, her uncanny intuition kicks in and she gets a feeling something is wrong. Harash keeps slightly looking up, it's barely noticeable.
  • Yashira quickly looks up but can't see anything
  • Is it a way to unsettle her? A habit of looking away from eye contact due to being a medusa?
  • "I do know someone that matches that description. Not a member of Daask, they're a contractor" as he makes eye contact with Ruckus
  • Nerys asks when they last contracted with them? "Regularly, they do odd jobs for us when they're in the city."
  • Nerys asks if they can get in contact with them?
  • "I'm not in the business of giving away our contractors details. You'll need to do something for us."
  • Yashira feels a hand clamp down on her shoulder. She immediately tries to spin and grapple, but the hand is enormous and just clamps down and arrests her momentum.
  • There is a 14-foot tall oni stood behind her, she's terrifying. It is Cavallah.
  • Yashira knows when she's beaten.
  • "You know, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I could feel something was off, can you explain what's going on? Why have you brought some muscle?"
  • The oni chuckles, and in an accent, says "sweetie. He's the muscle."
  • Yashira says it's not polite to have somebody invisible in the room. "Do you have any other tricks?"
  • Cavallah shrinks down to get to Yashira's ear, and says "so many tricks"
  • Yashira reaches up with her free hand and places her hand on Cavallah's hand. "I'd really like it if you could remove your hand"
  • She does so. Yashira rolls her shoulder to check it out.
  • Cavallah comments that that shouldn't have been enough force to hurt.
  • Harash vacates the chair as Cavallah sits in it.
  • Yashira asks for a reset, can they introduce themselves?
  • Cavallah introduces herself as the leader of the Daask cell in Sharn. Harash introduces himself as the second in command.
  • Nerys thanks them for meeting
  • "Now, how do you know our contractor?"
  • Nerys explains if it's who they think it is, they're a childhood friend that went missing. They thought he was dead, but they heard a rumour about him being seen in Sharn. Yashira is helping them find him.
  • Cavallah asks them to tell her more about this friend. Nerys asks why, to prove they know him or to identify him? Cavallah just says to tell her anyway
  • Nerys gives a bunch of details about Razgon. They get distracted by Cavallah's teeth and compliment them.
  • Cavallah's eyes narrow when Nerys mentions the symbiont eye. Nerys is trying not to look at the eyeball on Cavallah's pendant.
  • Cavallah turns to Harash, and in goblin, asks "does that sound like Rusty to you?"
  • "That does sound like Rusty."
  • Cavallah asks if Nerys' friend is from Clan Soldorak?
  • "Yes, and I am from Clan Soranath"
  • Nerys gives some brief history of their exploring Sol Udar and how they met Razgon.
  • "Yeah that sounds like Rusty"
  • Yashira says "so he's alive and doing work for you?"
  • "Oh yeah, Rusty is a real piece of work."
  • Nerys remembers they mentioned bombings? "Oh yeah, that's the least of it."
  • Yashira asks when he was last in the city? Cavallah says he's here now, in fact. She leans forward, growing in size to reach Nerys, and asks if they would like to see him?
  • Yashira puts her hand on Nerys' shoulder to ground them
  • Cavallah gives them some instructions. Go to the drug den behind Shamukaar, pick up the latest batch of Dragons Blood, and take it to this address in Dragon Towers.
  • Yashira says they aren't going to just ferry drugs, who is the customer? What's the context?
  • Cavallah says neither of those things are important, and they aren't in a position to negotiate.
  • Nerys says they'll do it, and Yashira says that she understands this is important, but they should really consider what it is they're about to do
  • Nerys asks if they can leave? Cavallah says "of course, but you won't see Rusty if you don't do this."
  • Nerys gets up and opens the door, and waits to see if her friends are following. They do, Damien has to get Charlie up.
  • Nerys leaves Shamukaar, they don't want to talk there. They at least want an illusion of privacy.
  • They understand this is not a good thing, this is likely a very bad thing, but they feel like they really need to do this.
  • "I'm really sorry to have dragged you all into this. I don't want you all to be accessories to this, but I think it's something I need to do. I'm just going to go into the drug den over there-"
  • Ban, Damien and Yashira have all heard of Dragon's Blood. They know the risks, and they're being asked to take it to Dragon Towers. If they got caught with this, it would be really bad.
  • Yashira asks if they've heard of this drug? "You just said the words 'I'm going to go into the drug den over there'. This isn't small, I know this is someone really important to you, but this is a huge risk. Can you give us some time to look into this via other means? We have more information than we did, we can carry on our investigation without getting Daask involved"
  • Damien agrees, Daask can see that they are desperate and taking advantage of them.
  • Nerys says they think it could be alright, they just have to deliver it to a place. The person they're giving it to isn't necessarily going to take it
  • Yashira says they're likely already addicted, and giving a moral story isn't going to change that. The risk of overdose is high, there's a chance whoever takes it doesn't wake up the next day.
  • Damien talks about the legal risk, the Houses don't fuck around
  • Nerys says they have no other leads, though!
  • Ban tries, this drug is really dangerous. Is finding Raz worth risking someone's life, or them all getting arrested for delivering it?
  • Nerys suggests they could get this person some help, maybe!
  • Yashira asks how they're planning to get up to Dragon Towers without being found with the drug?
  • Nerys has never once been searched in Sharn, people don't take them seriously!
  • Yashira says but they're going to a primarily dragonmarked districrt, without a dragonmark. They're more likely to get flagged.
  • "But how will they know I don't have a dragonmark? I can just say I'm visiting distant family in the Kundarak enclave."
  • Damien says he doesn't want them to do this alone, but he, Ban, and Yashira cannot help with this. If they're discovered, they could be excoriated.
  • Nerys says they understand, but they aren't sure not doing it is even an option. It felt like a threat. "That lady was pretty scary, I don't think she'd be too happy"
  • Damien says she'll be even less happy if they get caught. That's why they're sending Nerys, they're expendable.
  • Damien agrees with Yashira, they have a name now, that's more than they had.
  • Yashira states she can look over reports of terrorist attacks. They didn't know they were looking for a violent criminal before, that's a lead. There are avenues she can look down, if given time. Delivering the drug is a quick solution, but the consequences are severe.
  • "You will quite literally have blood on your hands, whether it's not or down the line, it doesn't make a difference. You need to understand what will happen if you go through with this, just give me some more time. A couple weeks. I can ask my family to do as much digging as they can while we're in the Shadow Marches. Please don't be too hasty and jump on this."
  • That gets through. Nerys says "okay. I trust you, Yashira."
  • "I just don't want you to get hurt, and I know you, you'll never forgive yourself if this is on your conscience. I want to give you as many options as I can, this is not the only way. We're all happy to go above and beyond for you."
  • Nerys gets out the note with the address, crumples it up, and throws it into the alleyway. "I trust you. I'm not going to do it."
  • Yashira leans down and gives Nerys a hug. Nerys doesn't immediately hug back, but does so. Emotions are high.
  • "I know that wasn't an easy decision, I'm proud of you. I promise I will do everything I can to help you find this person. I know how important they are to you."
  • "There's also the muggings and bombings, I should probably think about that."
  • Damien agrees, they might need to come to terms with Raz not being the person she knew.
  • "He's just confused. They're probably making him do it, like I felt like I needed to do this. He just doesn't have a Damien and Yashira to talk him through it."
  • Ban hopes that is the case.
  • "He's not a bad person, I know that"
  • Yashira then brings up "one last question. Are we going to tell them we aren't going to work with them?"
  • Nerys doesn't want to. "Can we tell Rhaz instead? Is that too cowardly?"
  • Damien says they'll work it out when the package doesn't get delivered.
  • Nerys asks someone to get Rhazala please? They can tell her...and they need her to lead them back out
  • Charlie has no idea what's going on, he's so drunk
  • Nerys asks if Ruckus thinks this will damage his employment? He shrugs, this wasn't his job
  • Nerys calls Rhazala over, and tells her they aren't going to do the thing. "Do we need to tell them in person or can we just tell you?"
  • "Do what thing?"
  • "They asked us to do a thing for them and we don't want to"
  • "You should probably let them know so they can make other plans"
  • "But they're really scary, can you just do it please?"
  • Wow, asking the goblin child to do the scary thing
  • Yashira offers to do it.
  • Damien will back her up. Ban too. The dragonmark gang.
  • Yashira says it'll be quick, Cavallah won't start a fight.
  • That rule definitely applies to her too
  • Charlie speaks up, and Yashira says "hey buddy, why don't you take a seat while we deal with this, and then we'll find something to deal with the headache you're gonna have later. Do you want Damien to stay with you?"
  • "Yes please"
  • Damien down
  • Ban, Nerys and Yashira go to tell Cavallah the bad news. They go and knock on her office door, wait for the response, and enter.
  • She has one of the smut books that Damien noticed open on the desk.
  • Nerys starts to speak, chickens out, and looks at Yashira. She hooks her thumb into her belt, next to a concealed weapon, sets her shoulders and smiles. "After some consideration, we aren't comfortable doing this for you. It's regrettable, but our deal is off the table."
  • Cavallah gives them an unsettling smile, and says "fair enough."
  • Yashira says they won't be finding Rusty, of course, but could they pass on a message?
  • She rolls snake eyes.
  • Chloe thinks her apartment is gonna burn down while they're in the Shadow Marches
  • Cavallah says "why would I do that? You've done nothing for us."
  • Fair enough
  • Yashira says she'll see them around, or maybe not. Cavallah makes everything except her eyes and teeth invisible, and says "see you around, detective. Good luck with your search."
  • Yashira looks a bit shaken when she returns to the others, but she's trying to hide it. "That went...not terribly. That being said, I think we've closed the door on Daask. Sorry Ruckus, though maybe you're the exception. It's probably best we don't dwell on it."
  • Yashira asks Rhazala if she'd mind guiding them back out?
  • "Back to your apartment?"
  • "Why not"
  • They're so fucked
  • Rhazala leads them back, and comments on the weird atmosphere. "What happened? What did you talk about?"
  • "Nothing much, we were chatting about our friend we're looking for. It looks like we won't be finding them with Daask's help."
  • "Oh, why? Cavallah's always so nice"
  • Ban says that unfortunately, they couldn't do what was asked of them
  • "What did she ask you to do?"
  • Ban says it was nothing, don't worry about it. Nerys said they asked them to deliver something dangerous to someone.
  • "Like a knife?"
  • "More dangerous"
  • "Like a sword?"
  • Nerys says like a sword that only hurts yourself
  • "That's a bad sword."
  • Yashira agrees, it is a bad sword.
  • Nerys says they would like to go home. Rhazala says she doesn't know where that is though.
  • Nerys gave her their address though? "I can't read the street signs"

  • Yashira asks if Rhazala can get home on their own? "Yeah"
  • Yashira says they aren't going to be around for a bit, but they'll possibly see her when they return.
  • "Probably somewhere boring for you, Sharn is much more exciting."
  • "But what does that mean though?"
  • "Maybe we'll tell you when you're older. Now scram."
  • Rhazala mutters about already being 6 as she walks away.
  • Yashira is going to make a couple stops, and then they have a ship to catch.
  • She's gonna have to go speak to her family. Fun!
  • Nerys goes back to their apartment, with a lot to think about. They punch their pillow and have a bit of a cry.
