A fulfilling meal is spread across the table of Argak Felwood's table in the great hall. All members who were present before the horn had sounded are tucking into their food, with varying degrees of table manners, from the noble upbringings of Jarce is stranded from the kingdom at large and the growing confidence of the various Goblin Tribes has put Argak into a desperate situation. He asks if the Party would be willing to take the dangerous journey across the wilderness to Dundel, getting word to Dundel must send aid to help a combined effort to reclaim the Watchtower.
The party graciously accept the call to arms. Not only do they wish to help Argak and his village, but they have their own desires for reaching a better connected area of the Kingdom, and eventually Spearpoint.
After dinner is wrapped up there is a small request from Mornington, he wishes to have his clothes washed before they set off the next day. The young page Oliver Capstan is woken from his sleep to take the clothes and deal with them come morning. During a short interaction with the boy, Morningtion realises Oliver's night garms are well made and feature the emblem of a fish with a hook in its mouth, a family sigil that Mornigton recognises as that of the Capstans. The party then leave for their cabin, ready for a good night's sleep.
The next day the party are woken by Oliver, delivering the washed clothes as instructed, calming the fussiness of the present nobility. The party run a few errands before their final departure from the village, they visit Hudd who gives them a vial of antitoxin and warns of the giant spiders that can be found along the route they are taking. They visit Meldrin for advice and Wilmot to explain their next moves and promise a swift return, then they head to the north gate, to exit and leave Jarce behind.
It takes a half day's march before the party push through the territories previously occupied by the Bitter Skull Tribe, finding themselves in uncharted territory once more. They move further along the continent, parrallel to the coastline, and into the tall imposing forest. The party see fog and smokey looking waves coming from the top of the trees and as they descend down some steeper hills, it is revealed that the forest has a large amount of spider webs clawing at the vegitation. A very steep cliff boarders this forest to the north and the party move deeper into the forest as it darkens around them, depsite the sun being high in the sky.
Suddenly a shimmering object can be seen crashing through the canopy from the sky, a golden powder being left in its wake. It almost crashes to the floor, but is caught in a web on the other side of a large boulder from the party, a shrill cry can then be heard and the party cautiosly move forward to try and see what has happened.
It is revealed to be a pixie that has crashed to an impending doom, Artax can sense spiders moving in on the location and the party take up position to defend the hapless creature. A humanoid creature with the face and appendages of a spider can be seen high up on a series of webs that connect between the trees in this small clearing. It starts moving towards the pixie and in response Fenris brandishes a torch and begins burning all web barriers to try and get their first. As the others move into a position to see this newly discovered creature, two swarms of spiders emerge from the cliff face and surrounding shrubs covering the party, attempting to knaw away at their flesh. After a few well landed hits the swarms are severely weakened, but in the meantime, the creature known as an Ettercap has managed to grab the pixie and has reached ground level where Fenris is waiting for it, longsword at the ready. He lands a solid hit before the creature attempts to flee. Seizing the opportunity, Fenris catches it with a further blow, severely wounding it, but not bringing it down. The party chase the creature in to a new larger area where it has managed to hide among the canopy once more.
Can the party save this innocent creature from harm, and what lies ahead, deeper in the treacherous Web Wind Forest?
