Often depicted as a three-eyed Ree-Mai with pure white eyes, Sahwey can be a bit of an enigma amongst the deities of Illiad. They, like their direct superior The Golden Scribe, are a deity of fate and prophecy. They do not often speak, even to the other deities of Illiad, and it is said that they constantly look into the past and into possible futures to make accurate descriptions of what could, might and will happen. And while their predictions do not always come true, their insight is nonetheless indispensable to the other deities of the Illiadian pantheon.
It is said that Sahwey doesn't often open their eyes, as they usually look into the past and future. But when they do open them, the situation has gotten dire. One time noted within the holy texts of the Illiadian religions is that they, during the Great War of Shadows, saw a vision of their sister Valie being hit and killed by a bolt of shadow. And while their prediction was able to change her fate, it nonetheless changed her, which is something that they still feel guilty about.
Basic tenets of Sahwey:
- There are many paths in life. Carefully weigh your options, and make wise decisions.
- The wisdom of the past can hold possibilities for the future.
- Fate is strong force, but never set in stone. Make your way and create your own fate.
