Often taking on the appearance of an Illiadian Human or a Ree-Mai with a lot of pearl jewelry, Redika's guidance as the goddess of Healing and Medicine is valued by both doctors and shamanic healers. It is generally said that Redika was the one who showed those with Daylight-Ena that they could use their Ena-Techniques to heal. Redika is often described as a pacifist who doesn't fight herself, and instead just tries to help people by healing them of their injuries and ailments. Even during the Great War of Shadows, it is said that she was the one who treated the injuries of the other deities in the pantheon, but never fought anything herself.
Redika mainly serves Rencal Kei-Rhai and Merikira te Ruvea. Her realm within The Marble Cathedral are "The Halls of Healing", which act as basically her own personal hospital where she treats the injuries of those that she deems need help the most. This, by the way, can also include emotional healing. Redika is often supported by Vith and Avon in her efforts.
Basic tenets of Redika:
- Heal those that need healing. Do no harm, but also don't let harm come to others through inaction.
- Study wounds and diseases, so that you can bring relief to those in need.
- A healthy heart and mind is also necessary for a healthy body.
- Have compassion, be kind, and feel with those whose pain you can't heal, so that you can at least soothe it.
