The Agate Seekers, arriving in Vant'ra, (with Volk Lesnoy hurriedly running after the party), decided to question someone for directions. Picking out a random woman, Dareth Lion'el first asked her for a good tavern and inn; for which she recommended either the mid-end Forest's Call, or the high-end Ivory Dragon. She then was asked for the location of the Adventurer's Guildhall, which she happily provided. The party, mostly due to Volk, decided to go for the Forest's Call due to its promising reputation of having great dishes made with wild game. Arriving there, the party met the Ree-Mai woman who runs the place, and got some nice lunch in the form of a Wild Boar Stew with mashed potatoes, before buying some rooms and visiting the local guildhall for some information. There, the receptionist told them that for the past few weeks after the explosions, some undead have been attacking but thankfully not seriously hurting merchants that were passing by. Dareth asked about the local kobolds, and she confirmed the existence of a local kobold tribe that mostly keeps to itself and doesn't seem to really hurt anyone. Satisfied with the information, the party went back to the Forest's Call Inn and Tavern and went to bed.

The next day, the party went on to investigate, and found, north of Vant'ra, a crater... and a wandering zombie, which was quickly dispatched. Investigating the crater, the party found remnants of what used to be wolves... as well as two huge, stone doors leading downwards. Mikhail heard some noises from the inside, most notably some moaning, indicating the presence of undead. The party decided to look for the kobolds, first, before deciding on anything. On their way to the kobold den, however, they couldn't help but notice... several kobold tracks, going from the approximate location of their den, going towards the crater... and not returning. Worriedly, the party returned to the crater and the doors... and opened them, revealing a stairway to a tomb, and the sound of moaning.

Going down the stairs, much to the party's dismay, they found, amongst a human skeleton, an oddly cackling skeleton and a wolf skeleton, two kobold zombies. The party was able to dispatch the undead accosting them. Dareth then went towards the western door, realized it was barred... but heard a tiny panicked voice, in draconic "Ah! Begone! Begone undead monstrosities!". After Dareth and Mikhail reassured the voice from the other side of the door, it opened and revealed Peskin, one of the kobolds from back when the party bought them the Blasting Powder; together with the other two, Jak-Jak and Gru. Another kobold was also with them, wearing a large pack like a pack mule, apparently called Hobi. The kobolds talked with the party and told them that they used the blasting powder to get rid of the wolf den... but then found this tomb in the crater. They, together with several other kobolds of their den, decided to explore it in search for treasure... but only found death, and the four of them have now been stuck in that room for about a week. They told the party that they can rest there whenever, and the party kept on exploring.

As the party continued, they found a room with two more kobold zombies and an odd magic circle on the ground. After dispatching them, the party realized that this circle was a reformation anchor; it not only brings back the undead that are anchored in this crypt, but also brings back any interlopers that die in an undead state, as part of the crypt. It can only be deactivated if the thing that is connected to it, deeper in the crypt, is destroyed.

As the party continued through the crypt, fighting several more undead, zombies and ghosts in the process (with Mikhail, for now, losing 1 point in strength due to a Shadow-attack), Dareth found himself with Sooty in a room with two more kobold zombies, a human zombie, and an unmoving skeleton on a throne in front of an ash-pile.

SESSION END.
