The Party starts their downtime, with Dareth training his Mobile Feat (2/9), Mikhail continuing his War Caster training (8/9), Volk continues his Piercer training (8/9), Zora her Sentinel Training (7/9), and Philomena her training for the Telekinetic feat (7/8).
Sooty, however, has other plans, as he takes Mikhail with him to a toy store in Argentis. After meeting the kindly older Gnome man inside the toy store, one Grawin Quicklob, Sooty, with some financial help from Mikhail, was able to commission a backup-body using the Wolfwere-Pelts the party still had.
Outside of training, Dareth did look around the city to find the finest, highest rated restaurant and most lavish tavern, finding the Inn and Tavern "The Golden Cup" in the Goldroad District, and much to his worry, the Raj'kotan restaurant in the New Ikasha district, the "Raja's Crown". He then invited Mikhail to dinner on the weekend, informing him of the formal dress code, before seeking out Volk to covertly keep an eye on him and Mikhail, as he worries he may be attacked again due to his family, and as he'll be completely without weapons.
On the night of the dinner date, saturday night, Dareth and Mikhail would then proceed to have an excellent dinner and conversation at the Raja's Crown. Meanwhile, Volk watched the two, wearing Dareth's suit of armor and weapons, from a table further away. A nice dinner is had, but Mikhail can't help but notice... the Tiger Tabaxi owner has backwards hands, doesn't he...? In fact, the entire Tabaxi staff has backwards hands, only the single human woman acting as a server isn't. After the dinner was had and the two left, it dawned upon Mikhail. Oh, Rakshasa. Those are like... devils huh? He didn't know if they were always bad though, thus told Dareth about it and asked him this. Dareth meanwhile was horrified hearing that, and explained fiendish creatures to Mikhail, and that they, in fact, are nearly 100% of the time evil incarnate.
Next was the stay at The Golden Cup. Volk covertly followed the two, but stayed in the tavern while the two decided to go into their room. There, they undressed and... fade to black, at which Volk, feeling their presences get close to one another, shouted out "Hell yeah!"... only to look around, see everyone stare at him and proceeded to leave the tavern to sleep in the alley next to it. However, things weren't quite as rosy upstairs as expected, as, shortly before things cut to black, Dareth whispered to Mikhail, not realizing what exactly he said, in his alcoholized state: "I love you so much... Celeste...". Mikhail's demeanor changed, but he didn't speak up and things continued into the night.
The following Monday, when downtime was finished, the party noticed Zora is gone for some reason. Meanwhile, Philomena, and only Philomena, did notice that Mikhail was acting... different... but wasn't sure exactly why. Dareth however had a pep in his step and was smiling ear to ear; quite unusual for the usually dour Half-Orc. However, new quests had appeared on the quest board, and so the party looked through their options. One quest in particular, which would lead the party to the High Lordship of Lugh, did catch everyone's eyes. This quest had been posted in some form for a while now, by a young noble called Samuel O'Lenaghan. A few defectors of the military of Lugh, many of which were Lycanthropes or of Shifter descent, became bandits a while back. However, now that they hadn't been dealt with, they were infiltrated by an agent of Malar, evil god of Lycanthropes, who infected them with a cursed affliction called Malar's Fever... which makes them extremely violent, murderous and even cannibalistic, resulting in deaths rising tenfold in the area due to attacks.
This quest was chosen and the party arrived in Dulenn, the capital of Lugh. There, they sought out Samuel, proudly wearing armor with a symbol of Selûne, goddess of the blue moon, who greeted the party with relief in his eyes. He once again explained the situation and gave more information about the situation at hand. He and the party would be going to infiltrate these bandits' camps to deal with them. Preferably as non-lethally as possible, as this cursed disease can still be cured, but killing in self-defense is alright in this case due to the nature of the disease.
After explaining all of this, he then told the party to follow his lead, muttering something about his family's approval, which resulted in Dareth raising an eyebrow..
SESSION END.
