(Zora's and Mikhail's players aren't available. A bit of a filler-session.)
The Agate Seeker's downtime starts, as Sooty, Volk Lesnoy, Philomena Snapdragon and Dareth Lion'el Griffmane engage in some sort of training. During the middle of downtime however, on the 2nd of Occarta, the party, consisting of those three, hear a knock at the front door as they were eating breakfast. Volk, opening it, saw a familiar looking Arrash man wearing wizard's robes. After bringing him inside he introduced himself, and it dawned on the party; this was Vinti Caelus, owner of the Wondrous Bargains magic item store; and also the first client the party took on when they first joined the guild. They cleared his shop of an infestation of Kalke, a long time ago.
This time he has another problem; while experimenting with divination- and Scrying-spells, he accidentally created a few swarms of flying eyeballs called Occulo-Swarms, which have a tendency to try to steal people's eyes and make them part of their own mass. He locked them in his shop, but needs help exterminating them. And of course he'd pay them. The party happily accepted this quest and followed him to his shop in the Dahnes' Rest district.
In the shop, the party found three floating masses of eyeballs. A fight ensued, Volk was confused and ran into a shelf, Philomena was badly hurt, but otherwise, no eyes were lost in the fight, thankfully. Volk also used the final charge of his Warmages' Vengeance weapon, freeing the Barchoba inside, which promptly bonded with Sooty, engaging in a familiar-pact, fully intending to mold the chaotic Thrro into a warrior for the forces of good. With that, Vinti rewarded the party; 500 Gold Each, as well as a magical set of eyes that you can place on a wall and look through, to see what the other eye sees. He'd also contact the Liwilai Adventurer's Guild in order to award the party some Guild Credits; 250 to be exact.
The week progressed, and on Saturday, the last day before the end of the party's downtime, Volk found Limni Diluvi, dining in the restaurant. He wanted to speak to the party about something, to see if they'd perhaps accept a quest from him. You see, he was supposed to have another Illiadian Artifact delivered to him; Kerkis' Gourmand’s Pan of the Red Moon, a magical cast iron pan. However, the cart transporting it was robbed and it was stolen. At the same time though, a cook in The Corniola Covenant slowly rose to fame, right after the robbery happened; a man called Matteo Ghiotto. Limni suspects that he was the one who stole the pan, and as such, he's been looking for an opportunity to get it back.
Doing so, he asked around some contacts of his if they knew of any parties where he cooks, and was invited by one Duca Ecclesio Bellagamba; a duke of the Kingdom of Napolae. He is throwing a 16th Birthday Party with Dinner and a Ball for his youngest daughter, and hired Matteo Ghiotto to do the cooking. Limni feels like this might be a chance for a heist; which he has already carefully had approved with the Adventurer's Guild. The party is to join him and his husband Talxenden Safras as their plus one, and then try to steal the Gourmand's Pan back from him. Any damages that may happen will be covered by the Guild, but the party is to, please, refrain from using any lethal force.
Limni also said that the Agate Seekers don't have to accept this mission if they're busy or don't feel up to it. The party, after thinking about it, accepted, much to Limni's relief. He then retired back to his estate, but not before warning the party to get some proper clothes, as this is a black collar event... and to meet him at his estate over the next few days, once they're ready.
SESSION END.
