Draunspaer

Draunspaer, the rays of the Dawnbreaker, Lystellbor

"Draunspaer, the rays of the dawnbreaker (Lystellbor). The copies were the tools of the occupation of Seraphar by the Legion of the Illuminate. Their leader, the Apostate of the Morning (Eosus), holds the original from his celestial seat."

This spear has a golden shaft with a platinum spearhead inlaid with a design of flames made of gold an and ruby inlay, curling towards the point. The spear feels warm to the touch when held, and the blade burns hot enough to sear. When thrown, a streak of golden fire trails behind it, and similar fire is expelled from exploded spearheads.

An artifact of Lystellbor, Draunspaer is a weapon of rays of light. When thrown, the weapon immediately creates a duplicate of itself in the wielder's hand. Thrown spears can be willed to explode into radiant light.

History

Draunspaer was the Coda of the Champion of Lystellbor, lighting the way in the vanguard for its followers and a guiding light for all Celestials under his purview,

After the establishment of the Ends of Empyrean, the spear was kept in Seraphar, near the peak of the mountain city in a place of high esteem among the Celestials there. It was claimed by Eosus when they and the Legion of the Illuminate overtook the divine city, with copies given to all members.
