Awe Inspirer

Awe Inspirer was the artifact of the chosen champion of Vertos. It takes the form of the favorite or ideal tool of the chosen wielder. It appears to an inventor or crafts-person in a moment of inspiration when they are on the cusp of a technological, magical, or other near-miracle brought about by their own hard work and efforts.

Arwa Hathspelt earned the Awe Inspirer in her pursuit of creating a way to harness and route the overwhelming divine power of the Codas as a means to power the Titan Apparatus and bolster the strength of those within as a means to fight Mother.

Properties

While holding this tool, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells, and you gain a +2 bonus to the spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your artificer spells.

All-Purpose Tool: This tool can transform into a variety of tools; as an action, you can touch the item and transform it into any type of artisan's tool of your choice (see the "Equipment" chapter in the Player's Handbook for a list of artisan's tools). Whatever form the tool takes, you are proficient with it.

Additionally as an action, you can focus on the tool to channel your creative forces. Choose a cantrip that you don't know from any class list. For 8 hours, you can cast that cantrip, and it counts as an artificer cantrip for you. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Legion: You can now have three Eldritch Cannons at the same time. You can create three with the same action (but not the same spell slot), and you can activate all of them with the same bonus action. You determine whether the cannons are identical to each other or different. You can't create a fourth cannon while you have three.

Arcane Jolt: When either you hit a target with a magic weapon attack or your Eldritch Cannon hits a target, you can channel magical energy through the strike to create one of the following effects:

  • The target takes an extra 4d6 force damage.
  • Choose one creature or object you can see within 30 feet of the target. Healing energy flows into the chosen recipient, restoring 4d6 hit points to it.

You can use this energy a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once), but you can do so no more than once on a turn. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Instant Cannon: You can instantaneously transform your Awe Inspirer into a Cannon. As an action, you can make a ranged spell attack against a target within range (600/2,400 ft). On a hit, you deal 8d10 bludgeoning damage. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.

Peerless Crafter: You can cast Fabricate at will.

Champion

The properties of the Awe Inspirer are improved in the following ways:

  • +3 to spell attack rolls and spell save DC.
  • 4 cannons summoned at once
  • Cannon can be summoned a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • You can cast Creation at will.
