The Prime Deity responsible for the creation of Mundus, the Prime Material Plane, he is deemed by some to be the most powerful of all the gods. However, when he perceived that Lorkhan had deceived him and many others of the gods responsible for the creation of Mundus at great sacrifice of their own power, he did not stay and endeavor to punish Lorkhan, but instead, departed Aetherius and created a hole in Mundus that has been, by many scholars, been deemed to be the creation of the sun which has since been called Magnus.
There are few known Aedric Artifacts, but Magnus seems to hold the majority of those that are known. The Staff of Magnus is said to be the only thing capable of containing Magnus's power, while the mysterious Eye of Magnus is said to be a font of his power. Lesser known still, is the Tome of Magnus.
It is said that his artifacts only appear in the hands of intelligent, knowledgeable magisters who are in need and that when their power reaches a certain height, they will vanish and go to the hands of someone else in need, so as to maintain a balance of power in the universe.
