The original name for this currency has been forgotten. It was very quickly slang termed as "Drakes" for the Dragon on the posterior of the coin. This symbol persisted into future denominations of Tamrielic Imperial coin that the term "Drake" was even used for Imperial Septims. Some of these coins could be found in the world, perhaps, but if they were found they would be fought over as their worth would be vastly more than they were in initial circulation.
