All above effects remain, with the following changes:
The temporary hit points gained from this effect increase to a total of 10. When the temporary hit points are depleted, the shield is destroyed and explodes, dealing damage to the creature that ended this effect equal to the maximum number of temporary hit points regardless of how many remained before being destroyed.
The creature must be within 5 ft. range of the caster to take this damage.
At 12th level, if you choose to specialize in the Ulsa sign, you gain access to the 3rd Level form of the Ulsa sign.
The amount of temporary hit points earned from this effect increases further, to a total of 15.
The damage dealt from an exploding shield now also deals damage to all hostile targets within 5 ft. range of the caster.
At 16th level, if you choose to continue your specialization, you gain access to the 4th Level form of the Ulsa sign.
The amount of temporary hit points earned from this effect increases further, to a total of 20.
The damage dealt from an exploding shield now also deals damage to all hostile targets within 10 ft. range of the caster.
At 19th level, if you devote all of your specialization into the Ulsa sign, you gain access to the 5th Level form of the Ulsa sign.
The amount of temporary hit points earned from this effect increases to its maximum of 25.
When an exploding shield deals damage to hostile targets, it restores an equal amount of HP to the caster.
