The current ruling dynasty of the land of Higashi, its leadership falls to, at its lowest levels, Kashin, or Retainers in the Higashi language. The Kashin rule over individual cities, forts, or other settlements. Their leadership ends at the territorial bounds of these settlements and they report to their higher ups, who control one of six collections of Higashi territory. Mainly divided by island clusters, or border territories with other nations of Akavir, the rulers of these six land masses are known as Daimyo in the Higashi language. Above them, is the military governor of all of Higashi, otherwise known as the Shogun.
