Ŵýn Odegan (The Rocker)

The Odegan, or the Rocker, is a dangerous creature native to the mountains and hills of Cadonnin. It is often told as a fairy tale or a joke among the peoples of the Northern kingdoms of Fotlam, such as Airesy and Pýcwy.

The Rocker has never been seen, but many have witnessed his signs and fallen victim to him. It is said that those who he kills are chambered inside a boulder that he will place around and use to taunt his next victims.

Main Locations: Reth Ripean

Appearance: Unknown

Signs:

Several signs are told to signify the possible presence of the Odegan

  1. Small pebbles or rocks are being thrown around you. They will often land between five and ten feet away from you. Never something larger than a thumb.
  2. The disappearance of shoes or hats.
  3. Large rocks, no bigger than a wagon wheel, appear inside buildings or tents
  4. The final sign before you turn into a rock, he places giant boulders around you on paths or you turn around and find a boulder there that wasn't there before. These boulders are usually the size of a large man to a small tree.

History

The Rocker first started appearing in Fotlam folklore during the Dhyry Eld (Dwindling Era) DE when many rocks and boulders began appearing around towns and farmhouses in Airesy and Pýcwy, and people started disappearing. Because no one had ever seen the Rocker itself, it is still unknown what it was. Eventually victim numbers began to drop, and the Rocker became more of a bed-time story than a dangerous monster. However, people still often fall victim to it.
