Halruaan were humans who lived in the southernmost area of Faerûn in an region and nation known as Halruaa. They are descendants of interbreeding between Netherese who migrated to the area and the native Lapal people who came from the Chultan peninsula. Virtually all Halruuans are both lovers an practitioners of arcane magic, and Halruaans have some of the most significant and powerful magical traditions in the human species. They are usually very tall with long, lithe bodies, tawny skin, black or dark brown hair, and blue or brown eyes.
