Vaasans are humans who lived in far northern Faerûn on or near The Great Glacier, mostly in the nation of Vaasa and The Tortured Land. They are descendants of Netherese and Nar ancestors who interbred and had significant inherent magical abilities although the practiced a mostly runic-based druidic magic. They were typically short and stocky, with dark olive to reddish-brown skin, bright blue eyes, and jet black hair.
