27 Ches 1471, Day (Day 2)

Morning

• ’Rig’wakes very early and found Gomlee had been awake all night and was checking the wagon before their departure
  • He notes that Paxtor Verdigris seems to have disappeared, but luckily a Tabaxi wandered in overnight looking for work.
    • Gomlee introduces Fallen Persimmon Branch, or Persi for short.
  • ’Rig’helped check the wagon to be sure it’s road-ready and took care of Meilu, who appreciated the attention

• Vala Silverton pays Orthanc to watch over her while she prays
  • Orthanc mentioned that his gods speak to him, to provide help and advice on living life and completing tasks
  • Vala is fascinated by this as she knows little of giant culture and her gods have gone silent.

• Gomlee mentions that Mielikki has been very active in his and Meilu’s lives
• Vala Silverton tries to give Bardic Inspiration to Rig
  • ’Rig’resists, trying to flip her, but Vala Silverton uses magic to hold herself in place
  • ’Rig’then uses the Bardic Inspiration to flip Vala Silverton directly into the mud
  • Rig stands over Vala and warns her to never cast magic on her again.

Midday

• The Party comes upon 2 dead horses blocking the trail
  • Before investigating, Gomlee has a spirited conversation with Meilu
  • After the conversation he gains an unusual amount of vigor, seeming somehow younger than he was several seconds ago
  • Two goblins ambush Gomlee, he kills them both instantly but is then hit by 4 arrows in rapid succession

• On his deathbed, Gomlee says “This is my time, I also wanted to go out in battle. I got to behead two more goblins, 1121 and 1122, a good way to go.”
  • Asks that he be buried with his weapons, armor, and pendant of Mielikki, planted under some trees just off the road where he fell
  • He also says that The Party “needs to find the map, the map is important.”
  •  Vala Silverton and Orthanc follow Gomlee’s instructions and bury him with respect and reverence
    
  • Vala Silverton reports that Gomlee said that Meilu told him he was going to die but that he didn’t believe her
    
  • Vala Silverton finds and pockets Unknown from Meilu’s saddlebags

• Persi notices tracks converging away from the trail and moving to the north
  
• The Party decides to hide the wagon off the trail to follow the tracks
  
  • Vala Silverton says that Meilu told her that she would protect the wagon
    
  • Orthanc feeds Meilu a carrot and they have SERIOUS eye contact
    
  • ’Rig’asks Meilu about tactics if the wagon is attacked, Meilu responds with a sigh and a large mule kick
    
  • Orthanc asks Meilu to get the oxen to move the wagon, which seems to happen
    
  • Orthanc covers the wagon with tree limbs to hide it

• Persi easily follows the tracks
  • The Party encounters 2 traps and manages to avoid them
    

Dusk

• The Party comes upon a large cave opening at the end of the tracks

• The Party enters the cave, finding numerous goblins and completely decimates them but Persi and Orthanc feed a group of wolves some goblin meat and leave them be
