Folkstand - SE Region

Explore

Folkstand is a vast region, home to the Andu people, and many other dangers.

For most, this is the entry point of the lands, crossing the bridge and Union, and traveling the last ribbon of paved road to Endmarch. Beyond this strip of civilization lie multiple terrors. From the Dwarven raiders of Ironwood to the troll-infested thick forests of the Mirewode, adventurers should be on their guard. While there are bastions of safey among many of the Andu people (Clawburrow, Den of the Dog People, and Home of the Otter people), there are many other less savory locations of note.

Gnoll's Pass is so named for the roving bands of gnolls still present after the "Fangpurge", many of them hunkering down among the Dog's Teeth. The Mistlewood is protected by several druids in service to the Fey Courts, and they don't suffer trespassers lightly. There is also a rumor of a benevolent Green Dragon named "Skislik" making his home in the tall hills in the North, but wary folk don't accept his benevolence at face value. And the rises of Stormwatch Peak and Scarmound both hold vicious predators that would make a meal out of the lost or weak.

There are, however, two famous resting places in the region: The Lion's Longhaus and Raven's Retreat. Each is a unique resting spot and a welcome relief for traveling merchants. More recently, the Monastery of the White Rose has been revitalized under the guiding hands of a Master Monk under the name "Sanctum of Thorns"; its doors are open to the injured or downtrodden, but some say at great cost.
