Current Status:

Mummified yet biologically active in a form of suspended animation or stasis. Kzon sits in a cross-legged position atop a hill outside a temple on The First World, the spiritual capital of the Gospel of K'zon. Modern attempts to scan or interact with the body are restricted by Gospel clerics. The shrine is now enclosed within a fortified temple complex, heavily guarded by the Gospel. Pilgrims are forbidden direct contact, but clerics and high-ranking officials claim regular communion with Kzon. The temple fortress itself is an architectural marvel, featuring layered defensive structures and walls lined with strange geometric patterns believed to hold protective technological properties such as energy shields and advanced sensors.

The temple complex extends deep beneath the surface of the First World and is the only one of its type on the planet. Clerics speak of catacombs filled with ancient relics and artifacts that predate even Kzon’s supposed arrival. Rumors persist of sealed vaults that emit faint, rhythmic pulses resembling a heartbeat. High-ranking clerics refer to this phenomenon as "the Echoes," believed to be the voice of Kzon’s subconscious. These lower chambers are strictly forbidden to all but the highest initiates, and some speculate that the true form of Kzon may not rest on the hilltop, but somewhere deep below, concealed from even the most devout followers. Some Coreseekers, who claim to have snuck on to the First World and plundered its riches, report witnessing vast subterranean machines bearing designs unrecognizable to any known culture. These machines may hold the key to the population’s disappearance or to Kzon’s prolonged existence. Despite multiple excavation attempts by unauthorized parties and multiple attempted break-ins by either thrid parties and over zealous followers, all expeditions have either been arrested by Gospel officials, vanished in the deepths or returned empty-handed.

History

Discovered by early Xla'rion explorers post End Port, Kzon's preserved form was found in perfect stillness amidst the lifeless cities of The First World. Unlike the vanished population, Kzon remained untouched, as if awaiting visitors. Xeno-archeological analysis suggests that Kzon's presence predates the End by at least several millennia. The First World’s cities, though advanced, bear no record of war, disease, or mass exodus. The various Structures are preserved as if their occupants simply disappeared mid-action, leaving behind artifacts and unclaimed belongings, amplifying the mystery surrounding Kzon’s solitary.

Now Kzon is the spiritual and symbolic foundation of the Gospel of Kzon. While the true origins of Kzon are shrouded in secrecy, Gospel doctrine venerates them as a prophet, messiah, or enlightened being who transcended mortality. The belief in Kzon’s guidance unites the five founding species of the Gospel, fostering peace and cooperation among former enemies. Annual and daily interstellar pilgrimages to the First World are attended by millions, yet few beyond the High Clerics are permitted to glimpse Kzon directly. Devotional relics and art based on descriptions of Kzon proliferate across Gospel-controlled space, reinforcing their spiritual presence even in distant colonies.

Those who have claimed to commune with Kzon weather trough visions or technology claim they are a calm, charismatic and supremely reasonable being. Not only able to understand who its is communicating with on a supreme level, but also be down to earth and even humorous at times, with a personality that feels familiar and friendly. Though few but the High clerics know for certain.

Speculative Theories:

The Harbinger: Some believe Kzon foresaw the End and built the First World's cities to safeguard knowledge and await galactic travelers. Followers of this theory points to the temples cryptic architectural patterns that resemble star charts aligned to dead constellations.

The Sacrificer: A darker theory posits that Kzon performed a mass ritual, sacrificing the population to achieve immortality or transcendence. The temple contain channels and altars whose function is unknown, lending credence to this unsettling narrative though as no signs of struggle has been seen across the planet this seem unreasonable.

The Guardian: Another interpretation suggests that Kzon transported the First World’s inhabitants to another plane, with the thin veil between realities leaving faint echoes behind. This theory is popular among mystics and those who report spectral figures within the temple grounds.

The Deceiver: The xenophobic The Ringed Host believes Kzon to be a cosmic manipulator, a silver-tongued architect of chaos destined to lead followers astray. Their rhetoric paints Kzon as a parasitic entity feeding on belief and fear, growing stronger with each passing century.
