This battle was the last one of the Age of Frost, where the Armies of Dread were driven back forevermore, and the long forgotten Emissary of Cryotix was killed.

The Classical Era (AS) 65 — 680

This marks the era during which the nations of the world developed, free of any crises.

  • During the early 200s, a good century after the Age of Frost, The Order, under urging from Gaial, decided to undergo a reformation of the policies that had been unchanged since the founding of the Order. The reasoning behind this was simple. The previous policies mandated extremely high punishments for the smallest of infractions, and scared away many potential converts. While good for the Order in the long-term, many of the traditionalists inside the Order were outraged by these acts, and accused the Grandmaster of abusing their power and using Gaial as an excuse. The Grandmaster of the Order during this period managed to prevent a full on civil war from breaking out, but many of the more fanatical followers of Gaial decided to split away from the Order and form their own group, called the True Believers of Order. This event helped the decline of the Order post-Age of Frost.

  • The Order-Falglor War broke out in 568 for numerous reasons. For one, the harboring of the True Church of Gaial in Falglor, a religious splinter group of the Order that formed after the Order Reformation Acts. Another reason was the rising tensions between the two states because of their role in the Ravenna Revolt. Eventually, these tensions boiled over and the Kingdom of Falglor declared war on The Order. The armies of both sallied out, resolute on their assumed victory. during the first battle, just north of Uthan, the outnumbered Order soldiers suffered a serious defeat. They fled toward the Citadel, skirmishing with the armies of Falglor along the way. Eventually they reached the Citadel, and holed up in there.

The Citadel was created to be an unassailable fortress, one that could not be assaulted, and so the Falglorian forces sieged it, hoping to starve out the defenders. However, the war was beginning to rack up a cost. Supply lines stretching from the Falglor homeland had to be carted up, through Uthan, which seized the opportunity and heavily taxed the supplies coming through. Not only that, but the caravans had to make their way through Ravenna to reach the encamped soldiers, where banditry and Order-backed guerilla forces raided the valuable supplies. Fed up with this, the King of Falglor demanded that the besiegers attack the Citadel regardless. The attack was repelled easily, the Order suffering very few losses, and the Falglorian soldiers being sent packing.

From this point, the sides were entirely flipped, the Falglorian armies, wounded, tired, and far from home being chased by the reinvigorated Order soldiers. The Order army disengaged once the Falglorian forces entered the Efil Pass. After this, the Grandmaster of the Order, and the King of Falglor decided to sign a peace treaty to end the war. The war had run the already broke Order even dryer, with the treasury now only containing a few dozen coins, and placing them in debt to numerous Uthani bankers, all covertly controlled by The Blood Mages, placing more power in their hands. As for Falglor, this event depopularized the King, and placed more power in the firmly anti-war Parliament.

The Blood War (AS) 711 — 713

This marks the brief period in time where Uthan tried to cause multiple attacks on the rest of the world, but was ultimately foiled. As retaliation, most of the world declared war on them.

  • This marks when The Holy Imperium of Moneeri launched a series of wars against their neighbors, aiming to take their capital and annex the country as soon as possible. The Great Crusade ended when Moneeri failed to conquer The Yunnaiteddo Federation. Also known as the War of Conquest or the Lightning Wars, the Great Crusade succeeded due to the high military-industrial complex of Moneeri, the military and propaganda that had been built up over centuries, the careful planning and deliberation by Aurland, and sabotage efforts of The Cult of Zelial.

  • Razing of Uthan

    713 AS

When Coalition forces beat back the last of Uthan's armies and finally marched upon Uthan, they refused to accept any surrender, confident that their garrison and strong walls would protect them from any harm. The generals in charge of this offensive, worried about supplies and any potential armies Uthan could muster while they were busy sieging the city, decided on a drastic measure. They employed new Valdirian cannons to tear down the walls of the once mighty city-state, while simultaneously bombarding the city with bombs and flaming rocks from catapults. This drastic measure allowed Coalition forces to take the city in a record time, while ushering in the age of widespread firearm usage.
