The Unyielding Flame was an artifact created from the soul of the demigod Vortek when the demigod Shalde tore apart his mortal body. The flame burned a bright red, and required no soure of fuel to stay lit; however, it would voraciously devour anything that was given to it. At the center of the flame was a small, black bead the size of a grain of sand that could be used to transport it.
For many years, the flame is kept in the kingdom city of Locir Dorcas, where it was used to power their forges and light their lanterns. However, it was later stolen by the Darkheart and used to reconstitute Vortek, becoming a part of his mortal form.
